Elven Jeopardy!
Hello everyone! I'm The Perky Ent, and I'll be your scorekeeper for this game! Those of you who've played Dwarf Jeopardy will already understand the rules, but for those of you who don't, here they are:
RULES: I will ask a question about anything elf related. Each question can be worth 1-5 points depending on how hard the question is. For example, if the question was "Who was the elf who traveled with the fellowship" it would be 1 point. However, if it was something like "Name every elf related to Finwe", it would be 5 points, since it's a question with a more detailed answer. This is how to get points: You can b...id on how many points you want to place on a question. The number of points you can b...id cannot be greater than the worth of the question, which is revealed along with the question. If you are correct, the points you betted will be added to your score. If you are incorrect, the number of points you betted will be deducted from your score. This way, the challenge is to find out if you can count on your answer to much, you'd be willing to put a lot of points on the line! The person who correctly answers the question can start the next one and so on and so forth. At the end of each month, the person with the highest score will be the Winner of the month and will be recorded in the Hall of Champions. If there is a tie, there will be a tie-breaker. There are two halls of fame, the Hall of Points and the Hall of Champions. The Hall of Points is located at the bottom of this post. It shows how many points each person has for the month. After every month, the points will be resetted with the winner of the month. The Hall of Champions is just what it sounds like! Each month's winners will be forever recorded in the record of the hall! Well, if you understand the rules, let's get started! The first question is worth 3 points! The question is: How many elves have part human blood in them? Hall of Points Quote:

I bid three points: six, or seven if you include Arwen, since she technically became mortal. (Dior, Eärendil, Elwing, Elrond, Elladan, Elrohir, Arwen)
Nope! And Arwen does count, because there is human blood in her!
I'll also bid three points and say 9- Dior, Earendil, Elwing, Elured, Elurin, Elrond, Elladan, Elrohir and Arwen.
Nope! BTW, if Arwen became Mortal, but I'm still counting her, think of another person it would apply to!
3 points: 10: the ones Fingolfin said plus Elros.
...and 3 points for Firefoot!
3 points: Who made Anglachel, and what was it made of?
I'll bid 3 points and say that it was forged by Eöl, and it was made of Iron!
It was made of a special kind...
Then I will bid 3 points as well, and say that it was forged by Eöl, and it was made of iron coming from a meteorite. Space iron! :D
That's it! :)
For 3 points: Who were the first elves to go to Aman?
I bid 3 points and I'll say Ingwe, Finwe and Elwe.
And 3 points for the son of Finwë!
Cheers,
For 2 points: Who was the only 'Forsaken Elf' to have seen the Two Trees? |
Thingol.
BTW, new avatar? I liked the old one better. :p |
2 points to the Knight who roams at Night (Ok, that was terrible).
The old one was good, but it's AFL finals and I've got to show my support for my team! |
Points Tallied!
Hehe.
For 2 points: Name 10 grandchildren of Finwë. And AFL is? :p |
I bid two points: Maedhros, Maglor, Celegorm, Curufin, Caranthir, Amrod, Amras, Galadriel, Fingon and Finrod!
AFL- Australian Football League :). |
2 more points for you. :p Next question, please! :)
Cheers.
For one point: Name the brother and sister pair who are said to be the most handsome of the house of Finwe. |
I bid 1 point: Finrod and Galadriel?
Sure thing.
For 2 points: Who was the last high king of the Noldor?
2 points - Gil-Galad.
Of course. :)
2 points: List all the Elves who attended the Council of Elrond that were specifically named.
For 2 points, I will say Elrond, Glorfindel, Erestor, Galdor, and Legolas. That makes five, I believe.
A-yep.
For 2 points, which two kindred Elves did Haldor say spoke little the common tongue."
If this ends up being more difficult than I find it, I may up the points. But that depends on all of you... ;) |
This is indeed very difficult because I don't know who Haldor is... Don't you mean Haldir, or maybe Hador?
I will bid 2 points on the bet that Haldor is Haldir: Rúmil and Orophin.
Curse those evil spelling mistakes, I knew Haldir was spelt like that. Nevertheless, Firefoot has answered correctly and gains two points.
2 points: Who is the Elven-butler?
I bid 2 points: Galion?
Yezzep.
For 5 points: What were the Ilkorin?
5 points: they were the Elves "not of Kor". It was the early term for the Elves that were "not of Aman".
