Frodo Of The Nine Fingers Song
I'm in a band, and we did a cover of Frodo of the Nine Fingers. Let me know what you think.

You can download it at:
www.mp3.com/RBHID/

Enjoy,
Jason

Rutherford B. Hayes Is Dead? Frankly, I dont understand the name of the band, but that is of little consequence. I have always been a fan of that song and whoever was doing the guitar knew what they were doing.

The old gentlehobbit, a great fancier of the arts and self-prolaimed local critic, eagerly tuned in to listen...

The song is covered from THE RETURN OF THE KING by Rankin-Bass. The original artist (Glenn Yarborough?), has a voice for folksongs and pulled it off.

The singer voicing the song for RUTHERFORD B. HAYES IS DEAD (Love the name!), needs lessons. Other than that, the original composition adds uninspired lyrics clumsily (not the fault of the band reviewed here). But the melody for the Tolkien part works for me.

The instrumentalists did well, but I might have asked that the tempo pick up just a smidgeon.

The mix was a little too heavy on the flute and too light on the guitar.

But overall a worthy effort. Practise, practise, practise!

Barrow-Downs~Bare Bones~Tar Ost-in-Eruhir~Grand Adventures~The Hobbits~Tolkien Trail
