Dates in the Shire

Can someone tell me the correct way to write the dates in the Shire...

For example would it be written:

17 Afterlithe
S.R. 1431

OR

S.R. 1431 - 17 Afterlithe

Or is there another way of writing it correctly?

Please someone help me if you possibly can!

Thank you!

<font color="aqua">I don't know this for a fact, but I think you may right it however or whichever way you please. my opinion is that the difference would be:

7-17-02

vs.

July 17, 2002

or

The seventeenth of July, in the year 2002

do you see what I'm getting at? I don't think it has to be a particular way. Check in the Appendices at the back of ROTK if you wanna find out for sure.
