The origin of Hobbits
 

I know that The elves and men were created by Eru himself and that the Dwarves were created by one of the Valar. I forget who.
But who created the hobbits?

A mortal race almost certainly related to Men, though their origins are unknown. [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img]
