Dimturiel 06-08-2006 10:53 AM

Never mind, symestreem :)

Elf maiden of Doriath who was a friend of Turin's.

Valier 06-09-2006 10:38 AM

Do you mean Morwen Eledhwen? She is a mortal though.

Dimturiel 06-10-2006 06:08 AM

Nope, I don't mean Morwen Eledhwen, and I know she's a mortal. :p

Glirdan 06-10-2006 06:53 AM

That would be Nellas.

Dimturiel 06-11-2006 10:57 AM

Yep, it would. :) Go on.

Glirdan 06-11-2006 01:56 PM

Why thank you.

Immortal shall he stay.

This, I believe might be a little tougher than you think, but have at it. If you need a hint, just ask. ;)

Thinlómien 06-12-2006 10:37 AM

A little tougher than the obvious...

Sauron?

symestreem 06-12-2006 10:42 AM

Elrond?

Thinlómien 06-12-2006 10:43 AM

The obvious in my opinion:

Eärendil?

Glirdan 06-12-2006 01:16 PM

None of the above. Told you, this is a tricky one. :p

Thinlómien 06-12-2006 01:17 PM

Gandalf?

Valier 06-12-2006 02:11 PM

How about Tom Bombadil?:)

Glirdan 06-12-2006 02:32 PM

Neither of those are right.

Here's your first hint: He is an elf. :D

Valier 06-12-2006 02:36 PM

OOO How about Feanor? He will forever live on in the Sil's..

Thinlómien 06-12-2006 02:38 PM

Dear little Glorfy?

Glirdan 06-12-2006 08:19 PM

Again, neither are correct, though your idea is a rather ingenious one Lommy. However, my clue is a little more obvious than that. Keep guessing! :p

Rune Son of Bjarne 06-12-2006 08:34 PM

I dont get the clue. . .

Celeborn ?

Glirdan 06-12-2006 08:36 PM

Told you it'd be difficult. Here, let me narrow it down a little more before I get to obvious with it: He's only in the Silmarillion. That's all the clues I'm giving out until tomorrow.

symestreem 06-12-2006 08:52 PM

Finarfin?

Rune Son of Bjarne 06-13-2006 03:21 AM

Ingwë?

Glirdan 06-13-2006 06:02 AM

And he's got it!! Yay Rune!! I don't know why, but when I saw that you had returned, I knew that you would be the one to solve it! Yay!

So, just to clarify, the clue was:

Quote:

Immortal shall he stay.
And Ingwë, who was a secondary character, remained in Numenor, Therefor, he, along with all others, shall remain immortal (what I mean is that he is safe from being killed) unless he were to die of grief. I also would have accepted Ossë as he is in the same category as Ingwë. Finarfin would have been acceptable as well...

Anyway, take it away Rune! :D

:D ;)

Glirdan 06-13-2006 02:44 PM

Yes, but I was leaning towards Ingwë more than Finarfin. And actually, the thought that Finarfin could have been accepted only came to me after I said yes to Rune. Sorry symestreem! :(

symestreem 06-13-2006 02:57 PM

That's fine. Though, as Thinlomien pointed out, perhaps you meant Valinor instead of Numenor, and Olwe instead of Osse, who was a Maia of the sea?

Glirdan 06-13-2006 08:10 PM

Yeah, you're right, I did mean those two. I'm sorry, I worte that post half fast this morning, soooo.....sorry for the mixup! :(

Doesn't matter, Glirdy. :) I pointed it out only because I was amused by it. :p

Rune Son of Bjarne 06-14-2006 10:32 AM

I am not very good at this

Kin of king, in darkness dwells

(I got really cofused by Glirdans post, I thought that there was another Ingwë that I did not know of)

Valier 06-14-2006 11:12 AM

hmmmm Eol?:)

Rune Son of Bjarne 06-14-2006 11:17 AM

I said I was not verry good at this!

Either people guess right it away or they don't guess it at all.

You turn Valier. You Evil Stalking Panda !

Valier 06-14-2006 11:24 AM

Why thank you Runie... Oh can I call ya Runie? And I'm not evil and you know it!!:D

Who dwelt for a time at Rhosgobel, near the borders of Mirkwood?

symestreem 06-14-2006 11:34 AM

Radagast the Brown?

Valier 06-14-2006 11:41 AM

Correct Symestreem...take it away!

Rune Son of Bjarne 06-14-2006 11:55 AM

what about Runey (I am almost as good) ;)

Valier 06-14-2006 12:08 PM

Ahhh much better....Runey:p

MatthewM 07-09-2006 09:06 PM

I suppose Rune isn't giving a new one, so I'll go.

Few know what the origin truly is, but this character has an unspoken power and beauty that is apparent.

Valier 07-11-2006 11:44 AM

How about Galadriel?:D

MatthewM 07-11-2006 03:03 PM

Nope, good guess though.

I'll give you a hint: The role of this character is not as big as Galadriel's.

Valier 07-11-2006 05:11 PM

Ok so either Eowyn or Arwen then?
