What Doesn't Belong

Which of the following doesn't belong?
HINT: (there are two possible answers)

ArwenBaggins 01-09-2002 10:03 AM

SORRY I FORGOT THE ANSWERS!!!

Sam Gamgee
Frodo Baggins
Pippin
Merry

Turambar 01-09-2002 10:10 AM

Sam isn't related to the others.

Frodo didn't kill anyone in the war of the Ring.

Dimwilwareniel 05-06-2002 02:18 PM

Which one doesn't belong?
---------------------------------------------

Radagast the Brown
Luthien the Fair
Gandalf the Grey
Saruman the White
---------------------------------------------
(Easy I know, but I was bored)

Lindolirian 05-06-2002 02:21 PM

Luthien the Fair is not a an Istari, or Wizard like the rest.

Elenya 05-06-2002 02:57 PM

Ooh Ooh Ooh, I would like to try!

Which one doesn't belong?
1. Elves
2. Orcs
3. Dwarfs
4. Men

The answer could be debatable.

Dimwilwareniel 05-06-2002 03:50 PM

Elves are the only ones with pointy ears!
---------------------------------------------

Which one doesn't belong?
Misty Mountains
Mount Doom
Weather Top
Amon Hen

Elenya 05-07-2002 03:41 PM

That isn't the answer I was looking for, but I'll let it slide. Anyone else with an answer?

ESTEN 05-07-2002 04:11 PM

Elves because they are Immortal
Maybe

Elenya 05-07-2002 04:47 PM

That could be one, but not the one I'm looking for. I'll give a hint: 3,7,9,1 Can you get it now?

ESTEN 05-07-2002 05:25 PM

The RINGS

ESTEN 05-08-2002 09:41 AM

The orcs were never given any, but the others were

Elenya 05-08-2002 03:05 PM

Yay Esten!!! That was the answer I was looking for!!

ESTEN 05-08-2002 03:55 PM

How about this one

A Frodo
B Gollum
C Sam
D Bilbo

There are many possible answers to this question, but there is one that I am loking for. I will give hints to the right answer as needed. Good Luck

question, but t

Lindolirian 05-08-2002 03:57 PM

Well lets see...
Gollum is the oldest (and least "hobbit like")
Sam was a Ring bearer for the shortest time.
Frodo lost a finger
Bilbo was fluent in Elvish

Take your pick.

ESTEN 05-08-2002 04:03 PM

Those are all correst, but the answer I am looking has to do with sam and the Ring, but it is not the time that he beared it for,

Lindolirian 05-08-2002 04:05 PM

ummmmm maybe he's the only one that didn't crave it at some point in time or feel enslaved or whatever the lure of the Ring type of thing....

ESTEN 05-08-2002 04:13 PM

That is true as well, but I am looking more for the knowledge that was held when all of these characters came by the ring

Lindolirian 05-08-2002 04:14 PM

ok so Sam was the only one who KNEW for sure that it was Sauron when he got it. he knew he had to destroy it or at least help.

ESTEN 05-08-2002 04:19 PM

Yes, Sam was the only one who knew what thewy ring was when he took it. Gollum to it because he wanted it as a birthday present, bilbo happened to find it, it was then left to frodo. Then we found out what it was. Sam is thew only one to take the ring with all this knowledge YEA

Lindolirian 05-08-2002 04:21 PM

I WIN!!!

ok how bout....
Farmer Maggot
Elfhelm
Dain
Gandalf

Arwen Imladris 05-09-2002 03:12 PM

Elfhelm because it is the only one I do not recognize.

Farmer Maggot: only hobbit

Elfhelm: only elf

Dain: only man

Gandalf: only Istari
only one raised from the dead.

Elfhelm, the only one Bilbo/Frodo didn't know

Lindolirian 05-09-2002 04:05 PM

Nope.
First, Elfhelm is not an elf nor is Dain a man. It is somebody that they all know or have met except for one of them.

Joy 05-11-2002 02:02 AM

Farmer Maggot was the only one not mentioned in "The Hobbit."

Gayahithwen 05-11-2002 03:16 AM

The answer could be debatable.
I think it should be the dwarfs, becuse they was the only ones created by Aulė. the orcs was bred from elves and humans is humans.. so.. oh, anyway.. I have no idea.. all met a dragon exept for farmer maggot?

Cimmerian 05-11-2002 07:01 AM

I have one -

Arwen Undomiel
Glorfindel
Frodo Baggins
Eowyn

---------
So help ye Eru!

Nevtalathiel 05-11-2002 10:45 AM

Frodo is the only one who wouldn't be confused be confused for a girl???

Frodo was the only one who never found love?

[ May 11, 2002: Message edited by: Nevtalathiel ]

Gimli Son Of Gloin 05-11-2002 02:04 PM

Frodo is the only male.

Aosama, the Wandering Star 05-11-2002 02:19 PM

Glorfindel's male too, Gimli!
Is it... Arwen is the only one who didn't go to the Council of Elrond?

Siiw 05-11-2002 05:03 PM

Arwen never met a Nazgūl?

(How can I change my screen name?)

Daniel Telcontar 05-11-2002 05:09 PM

It should be possible for you to change your public name in your profile. That means, that you will still have the same login name, but we will see your new name

Arwen Imladris 05-11-2002 06:33 PM

Frodo was the Only Hobbit?
Eowyn was the only woman?
Arwen was the only one who wasn't infolved in either the felowship of battles?
Eowyn was the only one who didn't have a chance at getting into the land over the sea?

Cimmerian 05-12-2002 05:42 AM

It's Arwen, and your reasons are valid, those who chose her.
Mine is more of a personal grumble, in the movies she upstages the other three.

Ok, I'm done.

Keeper of Dol Guldur 05-12-2002 01:03 PM

Glorfindel was the only one who slayed a Balrog?

Eowyn killed the witch king.
Glorfindel scared him away.
Frodo was stabbed by him.
B]Arwen? Never confronted the Witch King?[

Arwen Imladris 05-12-2002 05:30 PM

O.K. since no-one else has asked:

Arwen
Frodo
Elrond
Faramir

Cimmerian 05-13-2002 02:42 AM

Frodo - He isn't royalty or near royalty like the other three.

Keeper of Dol Guldur 05-13-2002 06:24 PM

I'm going out on a limb here, but Faramir because he was the only one to kill someone in the third age?

Elenya 05-13-2002 07:12 PM

Arwen is the only woman?
Frodo was the only member of the Fellowship?
Frodo was the only one to enter Mordor?
Frodo is the only one to not marry?

The Laurenendorian 05-14-2002 07:55 AM

Faramir was the only one who did not have the opportunity to go to Undying Lands?

---

I feel that some of the guesses above are based on singling one person out - which is always possible, rather than linking the others together.

Arwen Imladris 05-14-2002 02:39 PM

Wow, these are all good! What I was thinking of was that Frodo was the only one in the Fellowship so

Elenya, it is your turn!
