Middle Earth Music
Does anybody know if someone has written music for the songs sung throughout the books? Website, CD, whatever.
Thanks Nilaraniel |
There is a book called The Road Goes Ever On, by J.R.R. Tolkien and Donald Swann. It's out of print, however, and usually goes for over $40 on ebay.

I highly recommend the CDs An Evening in Rivendell and A Night in Rivendell.

This is a site where you can find mp3's by a lot of people that have made music for the LOTR-books.
Tolkien's Trail I strongly recommend "The Chamber of Mazarbul by Deceuninck. [ March 05, 2002: Message edited by: Maeglin ] |

Do you know where I can download some- but vocal pieces. Some of us *cough, cough* haven't graduated yet, and don't have any money!

Hello,
Thanks for the links. Those Rivendell CDs, are they just music inspired by the books or are they music for the songs everyone sang in the book? I wish I had more musical talent so I could just do my own music for it. :-p As for downloading stuff...you can try www.imesh.com or www.kazaa.com They are like Napster, but they are up and running. Sorry to double post, but I found music for the Bath Song!! Yippie! Cept they changed "beer" to "milk"...somehow I doubt Hobbits drank a lot of milk...Anyhow, it's on the Tolkien Trail website (posted above). It seems that everybody loves that song, so go check it out.
