Sleepy Ranger 05-17-2004 05:46 AM

Evisse the Blue 07-01-2004 08:29 AM

And door number B holds the prize! All the others were traps leading to monstrous deaths. ;) I'll go check said thread right away!

The Squatter of Amon Rûdh 07-01-2004 01:02 PM

EDIT- The 100th post of this thread.... And it was me who posted it. Brilliant.

Mariska Greenleaf 07-09-2004 08:04 AM

Why must you... disturb my rest?

Said Saruman when Gandalf and co came to "disturb his rest".

Sleepy Ranger 07-09-2004 08:09 AM

Allow me to be the third to say-That was fast!

HerenIstarion 07-09-2004 08:31 AM

Come to think of it, it was rather on the road by Bill Ferny's house. Anyways, previous post being a crossing with Sleepy Ranger, I acknowledge my loss by two minutes :)

Mariska Greenleaf 07-09-2004 08:35 AM

Yeah, Sleepy was a bit faster! For some obscure reason I thought that I had put up a challenging one, how wrong was I... ;)

Sleepy Ranger 07-09-2004 08:49 AM

The Speed Demons of the Barrow-Downs

Quote:

how wrong was I
Very wrong

what is the good

1- Of this task?
2- Of such honor?
3- Of this trinket?
4- in destroying it?
5- in him, I yet do not see as you do.

wilwarin538 07-09-2004 11:48 AM

I think 4, it sounds like something Boromir said at the council of elrond.

Sleepy Ranger 07-09-2004 12:24 PM

I was hoping my phony trap would work. Nope its wrong.

Firefoot 07-09-2004 12:56 PM

I'm going to guess 2; it sounds like something Éowyn would say.

Sleepy Ranger 07-09-2004 01:04 PM

It is number 2 but I'm afraid you have the wrong speaker.

HerenIstarion 07-09-2004 03:12 PM

number 2

Pippin in Minas Tirith, complaining to Beregond concerning his term of being hungry whilst waiting upon Denethor

Aragorn to that Eomer dude.

You've got your dude(s). Take it over :)

Sleepy Ranger 07-10-2004 12:22 PM

I have a special request....

And what may be the answer to your riddle?

What is the first line of the riddle. (It was given befor the question was asked.)

1- Ere Iron was found or tree was hewn
2- Voiceless it cries
3- Whats in my pocket?
4- An eye in a blue face

And I have a special request- If it be ok with everyone may I please post the 120th post on this thread? :) Please :)

Regards,
Sleepy Ranger (Yes I have flipped and I really do want to post the 120th post)

HerenIstarion 07-10-2004 01:21 PM

post 119, be ready to post one to follow (but why?)

ah, tricksy ranger. Tried to fool me to think it was in The Hobbit! But, truly it was taken from Gandalf's recitation to Theoden, concerning Ents and Huorns:

Quote:

Ere iron was found or tree was hewn,
When young was mountain under moon;
Ere ring was made, or wrought was woe,
It walked the forests long ago.'
So it is option 1, if you please

Sleepy Ranger 07-10-2004 01:29 PM

Correct you are! 120th it is complete!!!!!!!

Yes you are correct and now the 120th post. Now I shall reveal why I requested that I be the one posting it. If you'll go back and see pages 1 and 2 I posted the last post on both of them and now with this post I have posted the last post on all 3 pages. Kind of nutty but I like it. Its kinda funny. After noticing that I had posted the last posts on the first and second pages I used my brain and figured out at which post this page would end and 120 was the lucky number (40 posts a page if you've noticed). Now I hold the honor of having posted the final post on all 3 pages. (Evil smiley here)

Anyway Heren your turn. :)
