words that start and end with same letter

How many can you come up with?
You cannot add suffixs i.e. ing, ed, s(for plural), etc.

RaceR

XeroX

AsiA

here are a few to start with.

Mithalwen 02-01-2010 12:22 PM

Lucy on the off chance you are not a spam bot, threads here should have at least some connection with Tolkien

We could try:

ArdA
GlamdrinG
GamlinG
FelaróF
DamroD
OdO
OthO
NįiN
EönwĖ
and of course
NerweN

There.

I think it's going to be a pretty short thread, though.

Inziladun 02-02-2010 06:32 AM

Let's not forget:

MīM
and
SaeroS

Nerwen 02-02-2010 07:29 AM

*slaps self on head* And there I was trying to think of ones for "M" and "S"!

And since we have MīM and SaeroS, we must also have

GurthanG
and
GlaurunG

Inziladun 02-02-2010 08:06 AM

And LabadaL!

Mithalwen 02-02-2010 11:55 AM

Elwe...

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-02-2010 12:04 PM

FréalaF, for that matter.

And from among my favourite guys:

GorbaG

Pitchwife 02-02-2010 02:38 PM

MithriM
RodnoR
DagorlaD
NeithaN

Nerwen 02-02-2010 02:47 PM

EstĖ

–And I believe this may be the first ever legitimate thread begun by a spambot.:D

Well, this wasn't legitimate when she/it started, but you turned it around!
Regrettably, I think you're right in that this one will have a short shelf life.
However,....

Erendis 02-04-2010 06:20 AM

Rhudaur
Emerie
And of course

Elestrirne
Sorry for the spelling, but I don't have these tones.

Nerwen 02-04-2010 07:05 AM

Very good, Erendis. I knew there had to be another "R" one.

...However...

*adopts stern expression*

I'm afraid I can not accept "NaiN II" as a different name from "NaiN". I'm sure lucyyenic, were she– gulp!– still with us, would agree.

Morsul the Dark 02-04-2010 08:05 AM

BilboB (the inbred cousin no one talks about...);)

Nerwen 02-04-2010 05:38 PM

Not even Tolkien..

ElenwĖ

AngelicA (Baggins)
RagniR
AnardilyA (Aldarion's pet-name)

Nerwen 02-05-2010 05:42 AM

Yes, but the point is, Nįin's been done already.

Erendis 02-06-2010 06:57 AM

Oh,I didn't see that and I'm terribly sorry!
I 'll erase it right away(no wish to be on trial for copyright)

Ibrīnišilpathānezel 02-07-2010 07:28 PM

Given the lineage of this thread, possibly the most appropriate Tolkien-related word:

MathoM.

:D

Babidi Buu 02-08-2010 02:05 PM

GothmoG!:D

Pushing it a bit but how about Nibs Cotton and Nick Cotton (not the Eastenders one)- in Lucy's definitive absence I will accept Nerwen's judgement... she has the name for it....:Merisu:

Nerwen 02-13-2010 07:39 PM

Hmmn. That's a hard one to call.

Ah! If only Lucy were still with us. I'm sure she'd know what to do.:(

Lucy? Is that you? So there's no reason we can't have two-word names? Lucy?
