Tol-in-Gaurhoth Junior

Wlecome all to the new version of Werewolf that's not so new!!!

Werewolf Junior!!!!

This game will run the same way as the other WW games. There are two things that I'd like to say before I move on.

1) There will be a limit of 12-15 players each game. You can, if you want to and you're modding, go over that limit if you can handle it.

2) This game is meant for those members who haven't played a WW game and don't want to play with the big guys yet and the big members who missed their chance to be in the other WW game.

The game will, of course, run on a Night/Day basis where each Night and Day will last twenty-four hours. At the end of the day, you, the villagers, will choose one person to hang, or as we like to call it, lynch. Each Night the Wolves and Bear(if there is one) will choose one person to attack. They will PM the mod (that will be me for the first game) on who they decided to attack. I will get back to you on the roles, but you can however still post and say you want to join.

Hiriel 09-27-2005 04:00 PM

Cool. That sounds like a wonderful idea. I've been following IX and X, and it'd be awesome to get in on that hilarity. Count me in.

Here are all the possible roles we can have (that I know of  )

Villagers: Talk publically with each other and vote during the DAY on which player to hang. It is in their best interest to determine who is really a werewolf, because killing innocent villagers only helps the werewolves.

Werewolves: Decide which player to kill each NIGHT. They also disguise themselves as regular villagers during the DAY and join in the vote on who to hang. Obviously, they try their hardest to influence the vote toward non-werewolves.

The Seer: Has the ability to see one other player's secret role each NIGHT. He can use this information as he likes. Of course, other players don't know he is the seer, so they may or may not believe any information he shares.

Ranger: The ranger chooses one person to protect from wolf attacks each night. They cannot choose the same person twice in a row.

Hunter: The hunter chooses one person to die along side him/her incase he/she is chosen by the wolves, he/she wants to try and pick a wolf. He/she also cannot choose the same person twice in a row.

Cursed Villager: Doesn’t know he/she is cursed, I am the only one who knows that. If they are chosen by the wolves they become a wolf, and play on the wolve's team. No one will know who the Cursed villager was/is until the end of the game.

The Bear: Works the same way as the Wolves except they only have themselves to look after.

Cobbler: A villager gone awry. Wants the Bear and/or Wolves to win and he/she doesn't know who they are. The Cobbler would even go as far as getting themsleves lynched in order for the werecreatures to win.

Shirrifs: The Shirriffs go back a long way, and therefore know that each other is innocent. They PM by DAY to discuss strategies and suspicions. There are two Shirriffs.

The roles we'll be having are 3 Wolves, 1 Seer, 1 Ranger, 1 Hunter, 1 Bear, 1 Cobbler, and 2 Shirrifs and have 15 people in the game. Sound good?

For the first game, we'll have 3 wolves

Glirdan 09-27-2005 04:10 PM

Before I forget, when you sign up, tell me what occupation you would like to have. ie. Teacher, lawyer. If you can, make it something that was an occupation back then. ie. Cheese seller, miner, amrmoury shop.

WaynetheGoblin 09-27-2005 04:11 PM

Great idea I would love to play.

WaynetheGoblin 09-27-2005 04:11 PM

Ill be the baby sitter.

Eonwe 09-27-2005 04:21 PM

i wouldn't mind playing. this is awesome! :D

Rune Son of Bjarne 09-27-2005 04:57 PM

Could i be a bailiff ?

if not then a

Merchant of: skins, furs and leather

Your choice!

The Saucepan Man 09-27-2005 05:15 PM

Wayne, your on Holby's list too (for Werewolf XI). You can't be in two games at once, so you'll need to choose which game you're playing in.

Eonwe 09-27-2005 05:28 PM

herm, i would like to be that shady guy who deals with dwarves in such things as ancient hierlooms and batteaxes.

wilwarin538 09-27-2005 05:36 PM

Wayne(my brother) would like to play the junior one.

Wouldn't having a bear and wolves be to much for only 15 players? I would think you need atleast 20 to have a bear.

The Saucepan Man 09-27-2005 05:44 PM

Wilwa speaks sense, you know. Unless they are very lucky, the Villagers won't stand a chance with three Wolves and a Bear if there are only 11 innocents at the start.

Eonwe 09-27-2005 06:44 PM

um i don't think times have been discussed. for me, the 7-7 thing was weird, cuase sometimes i have class till six, which means i don't get home till 630. and i have to eat with the fam right after, so many times i didn't get on till like 650. which sucked. so something like 9-9 or 10-10- would work better for me. i don't know what this will do to other time zones, but it would help me.

And in what time zone are you?

Just so i can get an idea of when i can sleep :D

Eonwe 09-27-2005 07:26 PM

i am eastern standard (i think) time. or is it centeral. anyway im in kentucky in the eastern time zone. its 9:26 PM as i post this. (i don't konw if that helps but whatever...)

Rune Son of Bjarne 09-27-2005 07:39 PM

Thansk

6 hours

Glirdan 09-27-2005 08:52 PM

Ok. We'll take out the bear, but the cobbler stays!!!!

Anyway, so far I have

Eonwe- shady, blak market type guy who has deals with Dwarves
Hiriel
Rune Son of Bjarne- Bailiff
Wayne the Goblin- Baby sitter

As for times, the game won't be starting for some time because we need more players and I don't know when I'll have access to the computer. When we do start, I won't be posting my own death until late, probably 10:30pm Est. time. For the start day, I'm going to try and start it by at least next Monday, at the latest and send you uor roles Sunday night. When the game starts, make sure you're invisible. How do you do that? Go into your User CP, go into options and click the box that says "Show me as invisible". BTW, I need a backup mod in case I need someone to fill in, but it can't be someone who plans to be in the game.

Thanks for that little correction Wilwa and Saucy.

Thinlómien 09-28-2005 10:35 AM

I would like to play...
I'd like to be the healer of the village.

The Only Real Estel 09-28-2005 11:50 AM

Probably my last chance to play in a WW game, so count me in.

My role will be posted once I think of it. :p

Glirdan 09-28-2005 01:11 PM

Well, we now have six players. YAY!! Anyway, I need a occupation from Hiriel and TORE ASAP if you don't mind.

Glirdan 09-28-2005 01:13 PM

Oh yes. And I need a gender form all of you as well as your occupation. Thanks!! ;)

Eonwe 09-28-2005 01:24 PM

that would be a he. it'll be nice to have this all worked out ahead of time!

if anyone signs up in the next three hours, i will personally arrange a meeting with the one, the only, Thorin Oakenshield. *hint, hint* :D

The Only Real Estel 09-28-2005 02:13 PM

I'll be the resident Peach Cobbler maker. Just because of a drawing Oddwen made of me. :)

Btw, I wonder if Eomer isn't on to something in the original WW thread, maybe we should just rename this thread WW12 (insert whatever you want here about ‘the Saga’ :p). The ‘junior’ bit in the thread title doesn’t bother me a bit, but what we really are doing is starting up a twelfth WW game. Just something to think about...

edit: I am, for those of you that haven’t figured it out yet ;), male.

malkatoj 09-28-2005 03:00 PM

whooo Werewolf!

I'd like to play, if there's space. It looks like much fun.

I would like to be the village's Drunk Fencer. And female, please.

Hiriel 09-28-2005 05:33 PM

Oh, right, forgot about jobs. Heh. I shall be a deaf librarian. :)

I've been thinking about this. We could cahnge it, but the thing is that these games are meant mostly for the newbies to the game and who feel like they're not quite up to the challenge of playing with the bigger members. But it's also a game open to those who weren't able to get a spot during the current WW game. And this thread is meant for the planning of the WWJ games. I will be starting a new thread when I actually start the game.

Speaking of which, I'm stuck on what I should name the town. Any suggestions?

Glirdan 09-28-2005 08:22 PM

Another thing I forgot!! Sheez!! When will it end!!!

Before I forget, make sure you're Inobxes for your PM's are empty, or have very few PM's in them (preferably empty) so that I can PM what role you'll be having. If there are any quetions, don't be afraid to ask or PM me. I'm not that mean you know!! ;)

Kitanna 09-28-2005 09:32 PM

Still looking for someone to play in this game? I wasn't going to volunteer but seeing as TORE has and he clearly is not a newbie, I would like to play.

Glirdan 09-29-2005 05:43 AM

Ok. This is who we have:

Eonwe- Shady, black market type guy who has deals with Dwarves, secretly
Hiriel- Deaf librarian
Kitanna
Malkatoj- Drunk fencer
Rune Son of Bjarne- Bailiff
The Only Real Estel- Peach Cobbler maker
Thinlomien- Healer
WaynetheGoblin- Babysitter

Also, to do with the roles. I was thinking when I first got up that the Gifted and Cursed villager ratio is higher than that of the Ordinary villagers. So, I was thinking that we should take the Shirriffs out to make it even. That way, the Ordinary Villagers would be Eight and the Gifted and Cursed Villagers will be Seven. It's more even that way.

On another note, has anyone thought of an idea for the Village's name? I'm stumped on finding a name. Maybe I'll find something in my History text book.....

Sleepy Ranger 09-29-2005 05:47 AM

Hey can I play as well?
As for occupation uh, how does Innkeeper sound?

Thinlómien 09-29-2005 07:20 AM

Just to inform, I'd be a she, please.

Kitanna 09-29-2005 08:40 AM

I'll be the village hermit.

Bergil 09-29-2005 01:58 PM

technically, I havn't done this before

count me in (as a "busker") before I'm reduced to a running gag, always trying to get in.

malkatoj 09-29-2005 02:19 PM

Name for village?

How about Notlob? I think it's a great name, though we may need a pet store owner for that to work (well, at least).

Rune Son of Bjarne 09-29-2005 03:11 PM

Name

Alfheim

actualy it is the name of the home of Frej
(god of fertility)

The Saucepan Man 09-29-2005 05:27 PM

How about Werewolf Junior High? :p ;)

(Sorry, couldn't resist. )

Glirdan 09-29-2005 05:36 PM

I can tell Saucy, I can tell. I'll think about those other idea's, mind you Saucy's wasn't bad either!! :p

Vergil, what is it you want to be? I didn't quite understand that.

The Perky Ent 09-29-2005 05:43 PM

And The Perky Ent, seeing the villages plight, came town upon the townsfoke, and gave them his wisdom. "And you shall be called the great village of Fwedawick! May it be blessed" And with that, he walked up the slow hill back to his home in the woods of Lorien, safe within the lands of Aman.

Glirdan 09-29-2005 05:58 PM

You know what, I'll go with that. It's sounds really cool. And speaking of which. Perky, would you like to be backup mod??
