TTT: Quote Game

This was inspired by Nurumaiel's FOTR: Quote Game, so the rules are pretty much the same. (I hope you don't mind my 'borrowing' them, Nurumaiel. )
The game goes on like any normal quote thread, except that a. you may only use quotes from TTT, the book, and b. we are keeping score, but no competitiveness please, just for fun. Alright, first quote:
Quote:

Three times is a threat!
Who said it? To whom? Where? When what was happening/in what chapter (either goes)?

Have fun guys

Elentarimir 05-31-2003 04:47 PM

I think you're right....but somehow that just doesn't sound like Gollum....my brain's dead right now, so I'll guess later.

Tinuviel Took 06-01-2003 06:43 AM

You are correct gilraën.

~Menelien

Elentarimir 06-08-2003 12:15 PM

Aragorn to Eomer?

Orofaniel 06-08-2003 01:59 PM

This is only a wild guess, Aragorn to Legolas?

GaladrieloftheOlden 06-10-2003 01:14 AM

Other way around, maybe? Gandalf to Eomer/Theoden about the fallen men who were being buried, that they saw on the way to Isengard?

~Menelien

Orofaniel 06-10-2003 06:57 AM

Happy birthday Beren, one day late....but it's better a little late then never!

And is GaladrieloftheOlden going to give a quote?

Beren87 06-10-2003 11:17 PM

Welcome!

That she will in due time.

Please check out the Quiz Room Rules if you're new to this forum. You'll see Galadriel has 10 days to post a new quote, and I'm sure she will well within that ten days.

gilraën 06-11-2003 12:47 AM

Ahem!

Quote:

'Look!' said Gandalf. 'Friends have laboured here.'
And they saw that in the midst of the eyot a mound was piled, ringed with stones, and set about with many spears.
'Here lie all the Men of the Mark that fell near this place,' said Gandalf.
'Here let them rest!' said Eomer. 'And when their spears have rotted and rusted, long still may their mound stand and guard the Fords of Isen!'
'Is this your work also, Gandalf, my friend?' said Theoden. 'You accomplished much in an evening and a night!'

Beren87 06-11-2003 12:56 AM

Sorry about that. Thanks for the PM. Your turn.

Beren87 06-20-2003 03:21 PM

Your turn, gilraën.

gilraën 06-20-2003 04:21 PM

gilraën 07-15-2003 05:49 PM

Quote:

Now let us go!' he said, drawing his eyes away from the South, and looking out west and north to the way that he must tread.

Beren87 07-15-2003 07:08 PM

Well, now it's none too difficult. Aragorn to the other two of the three walkers.
