More anagrams!!!!!
This one does belong in Quiz room, so here goes:
fingol is looming Somebody got this, so whoever it is (I can't remember for the life of me!) please continue! |
Awww...I thought another anagrams thread would be a good idea...
Doesn't anyone else agree? http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmili...ad/bluecry.gif [ December 15, 2002: Message edited by: LePetitChoux ] |
Tell me the answer to the one you had and how you got it.
Then people might understand how to play it and then it might catch on I looked at this topic before, and I thought it was a good idea, but maybe give some instructions to people on how to play! I know it is re-arranging letters from word(s) to form new word(s), but fingol is looming has stumpted me! [ December 15, 2002: Message edited by: Pallando B.C ] |
It was precisely that-rearranging letters in words to form Middle-Earth related word(s).
fingol is looming = Gimli Son of Gloin The actual anagram doesn't have to have anything to do with it's answer-for example, from the other thread, Die, Nell! had nothing to do with it's answer, Elendil. Hope that explains it! So, someone can have a go now, as I did one just now. |
This one is pretty stupid but...
Mal and Fosshl Fosshl is a name! [ December 16, 2002: Message edited by: Pallando B.C ] |

Sorry, LePetitChoux, i spelt it wrong.
Malo and Fosshl It's a dumb one, but at least it's there. That should help you, if it doesn't, just let me know. |
Is it from the Silmarillion? Because if it is then there is NO WAY I'm gona get it, as I've still to get through it.... I'm stupid I know...

It is sorry, LePetitChoux, and you're not Stupid! You should read it though, it is very interesting.
Malo and Fosshl= Halls of Mandos You may have heard of it. You can give me one now! [ December 22, 2002: Message edited by: Pallando B.C ] |
I had heard of it... tisk tisk, silly me!
I was kind of confused as you said Fosshl was a name, so I thought that the letters f,o,s,s,h,l make up a name! Oh deary deary me! I am reading it, just haven't finished it yet...a 1/3 of the way through-ish. I don't really deserve to give you one, as I didn't get the last one, but I shall take you up on your offer, and present you with this tantalising brainteaser ( ) Aaaanyway, big hung haran I'm ignoring any accents, circumflexes and umlauts, bu the way |

An alternate title for a piece of lovely jewelry - from ROTK A! Dude Rats of the Inn [ December 28, 2002: Message edited by: piosenniel ] |
OK, from now on, you have to give a clue as to what it is (location, character, etc.), unless it seems too blindingly obvious to you (but then again, the Ghân-buri-ghân one seemed obvious to me...hmm....) Basically, I'm saying I want a clue! Please? Is it a character, a place, a landmark, etc...
Also (I did start the game, I guess I can tweak at it a little)-and this is for purely selfish reasons-can we keep it to LotR and the Hobbit... please? |
Please note my amended and easily clued anagram.

Elfstan Fairbairn - difficult!
Let's make the process a little easier - let the next anagram be a word that starts with the last letter of the previous one. And of course, be limited to The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. ******************************************* From Tharbad to Fornost - Not Harrod |
