Yes!!!
1) Our time here is ending (Elrond to Aragorn) 2)...and smote his ruin upon the mountainside. (Gandalf voice-over/flashback to Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli.) 3) The old world will burn in the fires of industry. (Saruman voice-over to Sauron.) |
Yup! you got 'em, Firondoiel and Aerandir Carnesir!
|
I've got some if Firondoiel doesn't want to go. Can I go? I'll go.
1) "Their _____ _______. They have ______ __ our _____. _____!" 2)"I'm ______ on _____-_______. We _______ are natural _________. Very _________ we are over _____ _________." 3)"_______ the free ___ again my ______." |
#3 is Gandalf saying to Theoden, "Breathe the free air again, my friend." Right? lol, I was thinking of using that one
|
Yaa! I know this one!! At least... most of it...
It's Gimli, when he, Aragorn and Legolas are following the group of Uruk-hai. 2)"I'm ______ on _____-_______. We Dwarves are natural sprinters. Very dangerous we are over short distance." Well, some one else may finish it... again... [ February 22, 2003: Message edited by: Finnguala ] |
Yes, #3 is right, and #2 is really close.
|
oooh i think i got it! Gimli saying: "I am wasted on cross-country! We dwarves are natural sprinters! Very dangerous over short distances!"
|
I'm not sure, but is #1 something like, "Their pace has quickened. They have picked up our scent. Hurry!" said by Aragorn?
|
1) "Their pace quickens. They must have caught our scent. Hurry!"
{said to Legolas and Gimli by Aragorn} 2)"I'm wasted on cross-country. We dwarves are natural sprinters. Very dangerous we are over short distances." {Said by Gimli} 3)"Breathe the free air again my friend." {Said by Gandalf to Theoden} [ February 22, 2003: Message edited by: Rochelle ] |
Perfect! You're all right. I don't know who should go next, so someone just go!
|
I guess I'll put one up:

I know that the first one was Gandalf to Theoden at Theodred's grave. Goes like this.
"He was strong in life. His spirit will find the way to the halls of his fathers." Dondagnirion "There is no spoon." |
I feel like a weasle , but anyway...
"He was strong in life. His spirt will find it's way to the halls of your fathers." Gandalf to Theoden. |
Well you've gotten number two!
|
Can I go then?
|
*lol* WHoops I meant to say you got number one....number two has yet to be solved.
Need any hints? |
Yes! PLEASE give us a hint!!!
|
Two of the words are the same...and it is spoken by a betrayer...
If that is of no help I will give more! |
Well I know Wormtongue said it, and I know he was speaking to Gandalf about how he never brought aid or somesuch, but I have not seen the movie in so long I cannot remember the exact lines.
Dondagnirion "There is no spoon." |
You are definatly thinking of the line...and I will let you have it *Lol* The quote is:
"Ill news is an ill guest" and it is spoken by Grima to Gandalf... Whoever wants to post next may! |
Cool. I'll go. (The weasle feeling is coming back again, ahh)
1( "___ the _____ of the ______ ______ ___" 2( "And we _____ ___ _______ in ___ _______ that ____ _____ ______ a long ____ to ___" |
hmmm. . . I'm not quite sure about #2, but I think it is Treebeard talking to Pippin and Merry about Old Entish.
|
Yep.
|
And we don't say anything in Old Entish that isn't worth taking a long time to say. Is that it?
[ February 26, 2003: Message edited by: Haelothiel ] |
I know the first one!!!! It's the spirit of Arwen saying to Aragorn, "May the grace of the Valar protect you."
|
BTW, I'm not entirely sure that you got the second quote right, Arvedui. I checked TTT script, and it said, "and we never say anything unless it is worth taking a long time to say." This seems to be what you are talking about, yet it does not match the blanks. Please correct me if I am wrong.
|
That would make sense because I can't spell If I got something wrong with the blanks I'm really sorry. Anyway...
Yep, whoever wrote # 1 and #2, they got 'em right. Anyone that wants to go can. |
I don't have any good ones right now. Do you want to go, Haelothiel?
|
I don't have any either, Eressië Ailin. If neither of us have any maybe someone else should?
|
I have one now!! Two, actually.
Quote:
|
I have the second!
"I would cut off your head, Dwarf, if it stood but a little higher from the ground." Eomer said it to Gimli. |
You got it! Does anyone know the first one? I took out all of the words that would give it away.
|
Great! I got the 2 one!!! Could you give me a teeny-weeny hint on #1? Please??

#1 is hard, isn't it?
Ok, a hint... The quote itself isn't in the book, but the response is, and it is well known. |
No clue on the first...too many words were left out *lol* Another hint perhaps? Or someone else post up a quote
|
I've already firmly estabished myself as a weasle , so if no one get's the answer I'll post something. But before I preform my weasle deed, another hint, perhaps?
|
After a bit more thought (I had some time today *lol*) I think I found it...
"Orcs are roaming freely across our lands." Yes? |
Yay!!!! You got it, Rochelle!!
