MatthewM 07-12-2006 03:22 PM

Valier 07-26-2006 05:51 PM

Glirdan 07-26-2006 06:02 PM

Gil-Galad 07-26-2006 08:03 PM

Glirdan 07-26-2006 09:00 PM

Glirdan 08-30-2006 08:58 AM

Valier 08-30-2006 11:11 AM

It was Mablung...so who ever had it first, the thread is yours. :)

Beleg Cuthalion 11-12-2006 12:19 PM

If no one else is going to go, I have one.

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-12-2006 12:22 PM

Go ahead Beleg Cuthalion.

Beleg Cuthalion 11-12-2006 12:29 PM

Ok thanks

The Elves did not carry curved swords save one. Who was he?

Beleg Cuthalion 11-14-2006 07:22 PM

Will no one venture a guess?

Thinlómien 11-15-2006 02:12 AM

Maybe your question is too difficult....

But I'll guess for guessing's sake.

Beleg?

Checking your profile and "find all posts by Beleg Cuthalion" and scrolling the list. Quite simple. :) I'll set a question tomorrow.

Thinlómien 11-22-2006 03:36 AM

Who got lost and never saw her family or friends again and instead married a man of high birth and gave birth to sons that became lords?

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-22-2006 08:12 AM

Well that could match the myth about Nimrodel . . . .but I think I read that it was more likely that it was one of her following that got married and are the ancester of the Lords of Dol Amroth.

Yes it was, a handmaiden or something like that.

Thinlómien 11-23-2006 03:40 AM

Rune, you're correct and can take the thread, but she did have a name too... :D

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-24-2006 05:55 AM

Which Elven princess married a meer messenger?

Thinlómien 11-25-2006 05:14 AM

Sorry...

It was Idril.

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-25-2006 07:21 AM

why sorry?

It was correct

Telchar 11-25-2006 12:14 PM

But Elwing would fit just as well for an answer....

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-25-2006 01:51 PM

nah. . . Tuor had an exact message from Ulmo, Eärendil did not carry a message as such.

Anyways it is good to see you again Telchar

Good to see you too Rune - as you know, I tend to pop in and out with great irregularity.

The above clearly states that he was thought of as a messenger - besides his messages was clearly the most important of all...

Thinlómien 11-27-2006 02:37 AM

Sorry because I took the thread and I had had it before you... :) Anyway, the next question is:

Who had a magic sheath?

Telchar 11-27-2006 06:32 PM

possibly all 4 hobbits after leaving the barrow downs, possibly aragorn after leaving lorien... the words are not desisive...?

Do you mean.....The one Aragorn received as a gift a sheath overlaid with a tracery of flowers and leaves in silver and gold and in runes was written the lineage of the sword and its name and the blade drown from the sheath would never be stained or broken? (Gasp, gasp) Given by Galadriel and Celeborn magic sheath?

-EDIT ******************************

Thinlómien 11-28-2006 02:50 AM

Yes, I was thinking about Aragorn. Telchar mentions it first but Beleg has a better answer (Telchar is kind of maybe-ing). Anyway, no hard feelings, I'm giving it to Telchar since I'm glad he's just returned from his long absence. :)

No problem.

BTW I didn't think my use of words in the previous post were anywhere near to being so "strong" as to be defined as "unfamily-friendly"  so I apologize for my poor use of words....On the one hand I agree compleatly with keeping forums FF. but on the other I think this might be… Just...by chance, perhaps.. a tad over the top...???

I also really like it when people find the time to criticize, but not lave their name…

Thank you

Well, that's strange, I mean, I surely wasn't offended or anything since I can't even remember what you wrote, so if it didn't catch my attention, it surely wasn't anything horrible...? (Or then I'm not paying attention at all or too liberal. )

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-29-2006 04:23 AM

I didn't notice anything either. . .

Let's keep these posts related to character trivia please.

Beleg Cuthalion 12-03-2006 02:22 PM

Whoa, sorry my bad :o

Since Telcar doesn’t seem to be around and it's pretty close to 10 days...

Q: Where did Aragorn and Gandalf first meet?

lathspell 12-04-2006 06:26 AM

Probably in Rivendell. That's where Aragorn grew up.

Rune Son of Bjarne 12-04-2006 08:06 AM

I actually cannot remember this. . . Lorien?

next time, please wait until the 10 days has past before posting a new question, it could be that Telchar had wanted to ask it, but had not gotten around to it yet. :)
