Who or what am I talking about (I don't even know myself half the time) 2
Restarted, as the old thread was quite long.
A quick summary of the rules:
The game so far: I am an elf who became a king. I became king because of the death of another. I am not Gil-galad, Finrod, Feanor, Turgon, Fingon, Fingolfin or Finarfin. An extra clue: I was killed in battle. (By process of elimination there are only a few choices left) [ September 15, 2003: Message edited by: Eruanna ] |
I would say it is Dior, the heir of Thingol, but Thingol was slain by Dwarves who were after the Nauglamir...maybe you could call it a battle of sorts. Of course, Dior was only half-elven, his father being Beren and mother Luthien, so I could be wrong again! But he did take over for a time as the King of Doriath.
Cheers, Lyta |
Orodreth?
|
And....Evisse has it
Orodreth, second son of Finarfin became king of Nargothrond after the death of Finrod. Take it away Evisse..... |
Yay! Great.
I have regained my vigour. |
Are you human?
|
Nope, not human.
|
Are you a dwarf?
|
Nope.
|
Gandalf after his "death and resurrection"?
|
No.
|
By process of elimination, you are either an elf or some kind of monster.
Therefore...are you an elf? |
Are you an Ent?
|
Nope, neither ent nor elf.
|
Evisse, you have said that you are not human. Are you including Hobbits in the definition of "human"?
If not, are you a Hobbit? |
Hobbits weren't included in the humans question.
I'm not a hobbit though. |
Oh wait I think I know! Are you Sauron after he re-assumed physical form?
|
Good guess, but no.
|
Are you one of the Ainur?
|
No, me no Ainur. Far from it...
|
Are you a Balrog?
|
Not human, not a dwarf, not an elf, not an ent, not a hobbit and not one of the Ainur.
Hmm, you must be someone ... or something ... bad. Unless ... well, let's eliminate him anyway if not ... are you Tom Bombadil? |
Not a Balrog and not Tom.
And I'm not bad either. I'm very helpful in fact. Poor me, so overlooked... |
Um ... OK.
Do you go on four legs? |
If so, are you one of the Mearas?
|
Are you Bill the Pony?
|
Congrats, Altariel, and welcome to the Downs! I am indeed Bill the Pony!
|
Thanks!! Ok..I've never done this before, but I'll give it a shot:
I have lent aid in many times of need. |
are you alive?
|
Yes, I am alive.
Clue: I appear in both the Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion. |
Are you mortal?
|
Oops! I'm really sorry - I am not in the Silmarillion, it was my ancestor. (blushes and smiles sheepishly) I was, however, in Lord of the Rings, and also in the Hobbit (though my name was never given in the Hobbit).
Yes, I am mortal. Sorry again about the confusion! |
Are you an Elf?
Edit: Knock, knock, Areste, anyone home? How about, Are you a Hobbit? [ October 06, 2003: Message edited by: Arestevana ] |
Nope, not an elf or a hobbit.
|
Are you an eagle? If so, are you Gwaihir?
|
Yes, Evisse!! I am Gwaihir the Windlord!

In its original conception, this game was too similar to Who am I?, and so it became a kind of 20 questions. In a way, therefore, it has now been superseded by Telchar's new 20 Questions on ME thread. Although that game can have anything ME-related as the answer, while the questions on this one generally only concern characters, they are nevertheless somewhat duplicative. And, although this was the earlier thread, my instinct is to close this one in favour of the new game.
Plus I'm starting to get irritated by the title to this topic. So, this game is closed for now. If anyone has strong feelings about it, and can provide a good reason why it should stay open, PM me and I'll reconsider. |
