That is a complete (but educated) guess ...
It is a correct one, as well! Your turn, Pallando.

Ragnir ->Tar Calion

Russandol 01-28-2003 12:35 PM

Ragnir -> Hurin -> Morgoth -> Sauron -> Tar Calion

Pallando B.C 01-29-2003 12:55 AM

Lindolirian 01-30-2003 03:39 PM

Narvi-> Celebrimbor-> Orodreth-> Turin-> Mim

Russandol 02-01-2003 04:58 PM

Good job Lindolirian.

Lindolirian 02-01-2003 08:57 PM

Wormtongue-> Oromė

Beren87 02-01-2003 09:04 PM

Wormtongue-Gandalf-Aule-Orome

We have to stop using Gandalf, he knows too many people.

Lindolirian 02-01-2003 09:05 PM

That's why I didn't use him in my connection. Try again, but without him.

Pallando B.C 02-01-2003 11:24 PM

Wormtounge ->Frodo ->Elrond ->Eärendil ->Oromė

elven maiden Earwen 02-01-2003 11:45 PM

wormtounge->legolas->elrond->earendil->orome

Lindolirian 02-02-2003 10:06 AM

The hardest step is from Wormtongue to _________. Most people don't know that he met this person.

elven maiden Earwen 02-02-2003 12:11 PM

wormtounge->nazgul->sauron->Morgoth->Orome

correct me if im wrong but i have read somewhere that wormtounge encountered the nazgul

Lindolirian 02-02-2003 12:55 PM

Right-o Earwen!

elven maiden Earwen 02-02-2003 02:42 PM

Legolas-Aragorn-Arwen-Luthien-Melian

My first try on this thread! To long?

elven maiden Earwen 02-02-2003 05:15 PM

Manardariel got it correct way to go!

Beren87 02-02-2003 05:53 PM

Erm...Arwen never met Luthein that I know of.

elven maiden Earwen 02-02-2003 05:57 PM

but she was related

They have to be an immediate relation, not a great, great, great Grandmother, as in this example.

oopps sorry when i read the rules i missed that part.Any ways Manardariel you goecause i cant think of anything and you did get the answer i was looking for.

sorry~Earwen~

Beren87 02-03-2003 11:33 PM

No, Voronwe got it right. Hers was the first correct one. What you were looking for wasn't correct, so it didn't work.

Voronwe 02-04-2003 06:57 AM

Right then, I will ask:

The Old Took -> Elmo

the real findorfin 02-04-2003 09:20 AM

Old Took - Gandalf - Celeborn - Elmo

Celeborn was Elmo's great-nephew or something similar.

Voronwe 02-04-2003 12:52 PM

It's also stated that Celeborn was Elmo's grandson. Apparently JRRT never really decided on Celeborn's ancestry. Whatever his parentage, we can probably assume that Celeborn and Elmo met in Doriath anyway.

Ask away.

the real findorfin 02-04-2003 12:54 PM

Here's a nice one...

Ecthelion II >>> Ecthelion (of the Fountain)

Try it in 4!

[ February 04, 2003: Message edited by: the real findorfin ]

Lindolirian 02-05-2003 03:39 PM

Ecthelion II-> Aragorn-> Elrond-> Tuor-> Ecthelion of the Fountains

the real findorfin 02-06-2003 05:40 AM

Thats good, but try and get it in 4!

(Did Tuor even meet Elrond?)

The Saucepan Man 02-06-2003 01:17 PM

Ecthelion II -> Aragorn -> Legolas -> Ecthelion of the Fountains

Of course, Legoals has to play a dual role (Legolas of the Fellowship and Legolas of Gondolin). Is that allowed ...?

the real findorfin 02-06-2003 01:41 PM

Nice but no!

Lindolirian 02-06-2003 05:45 PM

Oh, I thought you meant in four separations, not four people.

Ecthelion II-> Saruman-> Turgon-> Ecthelion of the Fountains.

And according to the rules, Elrond to Tuor would work since Tuor is Elrond's grandfather.

the real findorfin 02-07-2003 04:42 AM

maybe...if you can tell me how Saruman and Turgon are connected? I didn't know they were.

Lindolirian 02-08-2003 09:50 PM

Curunir was a Maia of Aulė in Valinor, and Turgon, being of the Noldor who were friendly with Aulė and his people, I figured they might have met, cause it was quite a LONG time that was spent in Valinor, and with Curunir being such a cool guy, he must have gotten to know such another cool guy...

the real findorfin 02-09-2003 04:47 PM

If you can't think of a better one then OK, but there is one much more plausible way, which involves definate meetings. Anyone???

Pallando B.C 02-12-2003 03:13 AM

I think we should just let Lindolirian have this one.

the real findorfin 02-12-2003 09:46 AM

OMG, no one could get it, wow!!

The answer was...

Ecthelion II > Aragorn II > Glorfindel > Ecthelion of the Fountain.

Go on Lindoliran
