The Red Mountains
Yes. Go ahead.
If I travelled 40 miles North of the Hills of Evendim and then 100 or so miles East, Then another 120 miles south, where would I be?
Would you be at Fornost in the North Downs?
Great Job, Thengise Greenleaf of Mirkwood.
Your father would be proud |
I sure hope he would be!
What's the name of the hill in the Forest of Brethil?....I know I know, it's quite easy but hey I'm a bit new at this. |
Doesn't matter If you're new, I'm #4760 and that I'm sure would be regarded as new.
The Hill in the Forest of Brethil is Amon Obel. [ December 23, 2002: Message edited by: Pallando B.C ] |
That is correct! Your turn.
Oh and I'm not new to this site. I've been here since July and have quite a lot of posts around here, except that the RPG room used to be my main place. I mean I'm new to quizing. Besides I'm better at answering than at giving questions. [ December 23, 2002: Message edited by: Thengise Greenleaf of Mirkwood ] |
Oh, ok. As you can see I'm new at least!
What river is the seperates the regions of Eregion and Dunland |
The river Glanduin.
Yes, the floor is yours!
Thanks!
On which river did the Teleri, being slow and reluctant, camp long in Middle-earth? |
Anduin the Great.
Right! Your turn.
Describe the location of Dor Daidelos.
I am not sure if you've got the right spelling, but I believe the area you are referring to was north-west of Ard-Galan/Anfauglith, the hilly land through which one passes to come to Thangorodrim and Angband.
I see what you are thinking. The land you are describing is Dor Daedeloth. I was hoping someone would go for that one.
Curse you... then it's anybody's guess. Never heard of that.
North of the Iron Mountains and the northernmost part of Middle-earth, Dor Daidelos is the Region of Everlasting Cold.
Curse me?? Anyways, yes TolkienGurl, you are correct.
Umm... how about "Bless you" instead!
Name 2 cities in which Numenor's population was concentrated. I hope it isn't too easy! |
Andunë and Armenelos
Armenelos is correct, but there was another city with a higher population concentration than Andúnië, or so my book source tells me. Which one is it?
It is Romenna then.
Yup. You're really good at this. Ask away!

Between what two rivers does the Silent Land lay?
Silent Land is Dor Dinen, so I believe it lies between the River Aros and the River Nivrim. Yet I'm not so sure about Nivrim.
Aylwen |
I'm not so sure about Nivrim either, in fact, have at it again.

The second one is River Esgalduin
Of course. Since you were the first to know both, you get it next.
Which river is the border between Gondor and Harad?
The river Harnen.
That's it. Your turn.
The Men-i-Naugrim passes through Taur-En-Daedelos. Where in Middle-earth are these things, and what are they?
The Forest Road passes through Mirkwood.
Correct! Your turn.
Ahh, yes.... ye ole Geography.
In between what mountain ranges was the Athraid Angren? |
That would be the Hithaeglir and the White Mountains.
Aye, that it is!
Where was the River Rushdown? Extra kudos goes to the person who can tell me what it's 'elvish' name was.
