odd item out

this is just like the other odd people and places out but with items!

1. Palantir
2. Narya
3. Aeglos
4. Anduril

elven maiden Earwen 02-22-2003 03:58 PM

Aegloes because it was the only thing belonging to an elf.

Gil-Galad 02-23-2003 09:57 AM

yep but the main reason was that Gil-galad was the only one to have a ring with that weapon your turn

elven maiden Earwen 02-23-2003 04:09 PM

Nenya
Nasrsil
Narya
One Ring

Pallando B.C 02-23-2003 04:45 PM

Narsil is the only one to be made in the First Age.

elven maiden Earwen 02-23-2003 04:55 PM

nope not it

Gil-Galad 02-23-2003 07:46 PM

the one ring was the only forged by evil or Maiar the rest in secret and by elves

Tar-Palantir 02-23-2003 07:57 PM

Nenya was the only one that didn't change owners.

elven maiden Earwen 02-24-2003 11:33 AM

nope still not what im looking for.

lathspell 02-24-2003 12:03 PM

The One Ring was the only to be destroyed and not remade.
or
Narsil, because it is no Ring of Power but a sword.

Tar-Palantir 02-24-2003 01:49 PM

The One Ring was never given a proper name.

elven maiden Earwen 02-24-2003 02:16 PM

Lathspell got it. It was Narsil because the rest were all rings. Your up!

Gil-Galad 02-25-2003 07:55 AM

lathspell your up

lathspell 02-25-2003 03:47 PM

Sorry for the delay, people... I had forgotten about this thread. Thank you for the reminder, elven maiden Earwen.

Nenya
Narya
Pippin's brooch
Silmarils
One Ring

elven maiden Earwen 02-25-2003 03:48 PM

Silmarils because they haven't been in Lothlorien.

lathspell 02-25-2003 03:53 PM

Well found! You should've earned it only by that, but I'm sorry to say it's not the answer I was looking for.

greetings,
lathspell

elven maiden Earwen 02-25-2003 03:55 PM

one ring because it was made by evil or because made by a maiar and not an elf

Lomadia 02-25-2003 10:38 PM

Silmarils because they're the only ones Aragorn never saw? (Did he?)

Tar-Palantir 02-25-2003 11:43 PM

Silmarils weren't made to be worn?

lathspell 02-26-2003 12:04 PM

Nope, sorry people, still not the answer I'm looking for.

elven maiden Earwen 02-26-2003 12:09 PM

Silmarilss because they havent been to the Shire.

Annunfuiniel 02-26-2003 01:22 PM

Nenya, the only one that wasn't cast/dropped anywhere?

lathspell 02-26-2003 05:42 PM

No, still not. Annunfuiniel, you don't wanna know how close you are. Narya wasn't dropped either in the history of M-e... but please continue, you're on the right track.

greetings,
lathspell

Tar-Palantir 02-26-2003 07:48 PM

Nenya was the only one that didn't change hands.

Ps- that's the same answer I gave for the last question..hehe..maybe it'll work this time...

Annunfuiniel 02-27-2003 12:30 AM

Narya fell with Gandalf in to the abyss in Moria so in a way it was cast... well anyway, can't think of a new answer right now. And Tar-Palantir probably has it right.

lathspell 02-27-2003 04:56 AM

hey people

Tar-palantir, you are the lucky winner of this contest. Your price: to proceed the thread with a new question.

greetings,
lathspell

Gil-Galad 02-27-2003 05:00 PM

Tar-Palantir yur up

Tar-Palantir 02-27-2003 05:03 PM

The Saucepan Man 02-27-2003 08:45 PM

Gurthang. It's the only one that was not an heirloom.

The Dragon-Helm was an heirloom of the House of Hador.

Narsil was an heirloom of the Lords of Andunie.

The Arkenstone was an heirloom of the Dwarf-kings of Erebor.

Tar-Palantir 02-27-2003 10:54 PM

Not the answer I'm after SaucepanMan, try again.

elven maiden Earwen 02-27-2003 11:21 PM

Arkenstone because it belongs to dwarves and the reat belonged to men.

Tar-Palantir 02-27-2003 11:35 PM

you're getting warm...

elven maiden Earwen 02-27-2003 11:39 PM

gurthang because it once belong to an elf.

lathspell 02-28-2003 04:41 AM

The Arkenstone is the only one that is a jewel. All other were weapons or armor.

Tar-Palantir 02-28-2003 11:47 AM

*hint*

It has to do with their origins

Annunfuiniel 02-28-2003 12:07 PM

Gurthang was the one not been forged by dwarves.

Tar-Palantir 02-28-2003 12:30 PM

Hey you're one smart cookie Annunfuiniel!

please continue...

Annunfuiniel 02-28-2003 12:48 PM

Thank thee T-P!

Ring of Barahir
Sceptre of Annûminas
Elfstone
Star of the north
Anduril

Turambar 02-28-2003 01:07 PM

The Star of the North, because it's the only one I don't know what it is?

OK, then Andúril - the only one forged or made in the Third Age?

Annunfuiniel 02-28-2003 01:54 PM

Sorry, no luck with your guesses Turambar.
