First Question
This first one is an Elven "mythology" question.
Quote:
That was Elbereth Gilthoniel, or Varda. :)
Bravo!
Correct! Correct!
Now you may proceed with the questioning NigthKnight. :D *Note the scoreboard has now been edited. |
Very well...
What were the elves that stayed at Cuivienen called? |
The Avari.
Correct, one point to you and your turn. :)
An island was used by Ulmo to transport elves over the sea to Valinor.
Where did a piece of this island break off and what name was it given? |
The piece broke off at the shaols at the mouth of the Sirion, and it was called the Isle of Balar.
Correct, your turn. :)
*Bump*
This thread should not die. At least it should not die alone, unaided.
:( Sorry!
Who was the first half-elven? |
Earendil?
Is it Dior?
Nope. :D
Lúthien!
Could it be Elros?
:D Firefoot has it!!
Actually, Luthien, Earendil and the Dol Amroth guy (Galdor?) were the only true half-elven. |
Okay, at the end of the Third Age, who was the oldest Elf living in Middle-earth?
By the way, who is keeping track of scoring? |
Cirdan?
Quite correct.
I think Galadel is keeping track.
Anyway, which two elves were "unfriends forever"? |
And the answer is...
My grandfather's demented half-brother (Fëanor) and my darling aunt (Galadriel)
Haha, yes.
Who is this Elf?
He is the King of Elves (and my godfather ;) ).
Ingwe?
Yes!
thnx!
What did the Sickle of the Valar mean for the Elves?
A sign for the fall of Morgoth?
yes, a sign of hope
Your go. (you got 2 points so far!)
Who is this Elf?
The brother of Elwë and Olwë.
Elmo :D
Correct!
He, I believe, became a famous muppet after the Third Age.
Two points so far for you. :) |
What was the name given to Finrod by Beor?
Nom, meaning Wisdom.
Correct! :)
Here's a hypothetical question...
Here's an easy one:
If Fëanor's House wasn't 'Dispossessed' of the Kingship of the Noldor, who would have been High King of the Noldor at the end of the First Age? |
Maedhros?
Didn't all of Feanor's sons die? If they did, would it be Celebrimbor?
Well, actually, Maglor threw the simaril into the sea and wanders the beaches, so i guess Maglor is the answer. So, although Celebrimbor is probably the answer, i must stick to Maglor!
