Its Eilinel, but what exactly does this have to do with Blue Wizards?

Pallando B.C 10-31-2002 02:43 AM

That is just a name i picked ( Pallando, Alatar- Blue Wizards!) anyway you were correct.

Lindolirian 11-01-2002 07:35 PM

Thats what I figured. Who counsellesd Ecthelion that the strength of the rebels of Umbar was a great peril to Gondor? Give all of his nams... just to make it tricky

Pallando B.C 11-01-2002 10:10 PM

This was a hard question so if one of these answers are correct, you must give it to me.
A: Namarie, Elladan, Malbeth the Seer

Lindolirian 11-03-2002 08:29 PM

None of the above.

Telchar 11-04-2002 02:31 AM

I give a few... Thorongil, Strider, Elfstone, Elessar Aragorn Telcontar, Dunadan.

Lindolirian 11-04-2002 08:06 PM

Good job, as usual Telchar!

Pallando B.C 11-20-2002 02:02 AM

Estel ('hope') could also be added to that.

Pallando B.C 11-21-2002 03:11 AM

I'm not sure if im allowed to continue the thread because I only gave some of the answer, but this topic is on the verge of extinction so......

Q: How many years was Elros NOT king of Numenor?

lathspell 11-21-2002 04:06 AM

The Downfall of Numenor was in 3319 SA.
The Edain reached Numenor in 32 SA
Elros Tar-Minyatur died in 442 SA

this makes that he was NOT king of Numenor for 2909 years.

greetings,
lathspell

Pallando B.C 11-21-2002 04:16 AM

That's correct, but i probably shoud have narrowed down the question. I meant in his lifetime.

lathspell 11-21-2002 11:39 AM

who were considered greatest of the Maiar?

Pallando B.C 11-21-2002 07:21 PM

If you mean greatest ( as in more that one) there are many candidates:
Sauron-Curumo-Osse-Olorin-Melian.

But the one who was the greatest ( in my opinon ) would have to be Sauron.

lathspell 11-22-2002 03:39 PM

I did mean it like I was asking a opinion, Pallando B.C.
I meant: 'who were greatest considered greatest of the Maiar according to the Elves (and maybe the Ainur).

lathspell 11-22-2002 03:40 PM

- greatest

Pallando B.C 11-24-2002 10:47 PM

Oh, sorry about that.
Ok it was Ilmare, handmaiden of Varda and Eonwe, herald of Manwe. The were considered the greatest ( or at least the chiefs) of the Maiar by the Eldar.

lathspell 11-25-2002 04:17 AM

That was what I meant indeed!

Good job and please continue.

Pallando B.C 11-26-2002 03:32 AM

What does the name of Gil-galad's spear mean?

tom bombariffic 11-26-2002 10:19 AM

The name of Gil-galad's sword, aeglos, means "snow-point"

Pallando B.C 11-27-2002 02:58 AM

Correct, but you said sword and Gil-galad had a spear. Anyway you can continue.

lathspell 11-27-2002 12:00 PM

Pallando B.C 11-28-2002 04:15 AM

Everyone knows your right lathspell, so you may as well go ahead. ( sorry tom bombariffic )

tom bombariffic 11-28-2002 01:11 PM

fair enough

Pallando B.C 12-03-2002 03:41 AM

lathspell 12-03-2002 03:00 PM

Sorry, sorry... I've been busy for some time.

Beware, here it comes!
How are the Men of Dale also called?

Pallando B.C 12-04-2002 12:10 AM

lathspell 12-05-2002 08:24 AM

greetings,
lathspell

hobbitlass 12-06-2002 06:35 AM

lathspell 12-08-2002 09:14 AM

Neither... think of the Dwarves (what they say in the books)

the real findorfin 12-10-2002 12:50 PM

Bardings?

lathspell 12-14-2002 11:13 AM

yes, that's what I meant.
Pls continue the thread, fingolfin!

the real findorfin 12-14-2002 04:20 PM

Easy one for I don't havwe much time (sorry). Which of the Two Trees was older?

Beren87 12-14-2002 04:33 PM

White Telperion was older was it not?

the real findorfin 12-14-2002 04:38 PM

Yet again Beren is on my heels.

(You may notice that I'm better at answering questions than asking them!)

Beren87 12-14-2002 06:25 PM

Oh, I have much the same problem.

With what were the Ainur created?

Thengise Greenleaf of Mirkwood 12-14-2002 06:51 PM

Weren't they made of Eru's thought?

Beren87 12-16-2002 06:57 PM

Hmm..not what I'm looking for, it is stated quite clearly.

Pallando B.C 12-16-2002 07:02 PM
