One Word
<B>One Word to Rule Them All</B><P>Describe in one word and one word only your thoughts on the LOTR movies so far, including if you want to how the adaptation from book to movie went. Any word, any language (although there's a lot of monolingual people like me out there, so if it's not English please provide a definition in brackets).

COOL!
(that's a pretty close description of my feelings)
Ha! I like pleasant surprises. As I was waiting for the box with the "x" to turn to something, I was smiling, sure I would see the "blea, ill" smilie! Ah, a nice happy face. For the record, I am not a PJ freak. Of course, the books are far superior to the movie, but I have no problem with enjoying "cheap" ( how many millions ) thrills. I have gotten lots of pleasure from many of the images in the movie, I just ignore the crappy parts. It could have been so much worse....whatever...

Bittersweet.
Awesome.
Interesting
Visual ... <P>... I know that films are, by their very definition, visual. I wanted to say visually stunning - but that's two words.<P>
wicked<P>(as in impressive and powerful that is)
Âarenýl<BR>'ARROW-NEL'<BR>Asendoric transation is err, hard to describe as it means 'I will' aswell. I guess it would be 'above satisfactory'..loosely...<P>In English i'd say its fantastic and addictive!
Captivating!
Umm. . . simplified?<P>I can't top MLD Grounds-Keeper-Willie. Bittersweet it was indeed.<P>-Lily<p>[ January 12, 2003: Message edited by: Lily Bracegirdle ]

IM USING A SENTENCE l <P> --The best 3 movies ever made in history-<BR> rivaled by none
Outstanding! <P>You know what? It can't be perfect to the book if it's gonna appeal to 21st century people!! Although I wouldn't mind... But it would cut away the suspense for those who've read the books, also...

awe-inspiring

There's a word I've heard which means feeling two conflicting emotions about the same thing and that's the word I'd use if I find it I'll put it in

Everyone's used adjectives. Here's a noun:<P>Fanfiction
Blasphemous
"Taken-entirely-out-of-context-by-people-who-refuse-to-acknowledge-cinema-as-true-art"<P>Sorry, I cheated... <P>Although I do agree with Child of the 7th Age when she says "Fanfiction" as well, but seriously, has there ever been a grander, more breathtaking fanfic than this one?
...<P>( I have seen the movies twice, but I still can't tell if I like it or not)
Moving.<P>(In both a positive and negative manner)
Fellowship: Wonderful<P>Two Towers: Bittersweet or Moving
Breathtaking.
Rimbaud, from reading your thoughts on TTT on other threads, I would guess at "harrowing"?
I was going to say awe-inspiring but Tigerlilly took it So I'll say "Triumphant" instead.
Bemusement. (This applies more to TTT, though).
