Dwarf Quotes
 

I thought, since I am a fan of Gimli, that I might start a thread for quotes only of dwarves. These quotes only have to have been said by dwarves, and be from the LOTR trilogy, The Hobbit, or the Silmarillion. Here is the starting quote:

"Will they not say?"

Ok! [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] With that hint, I believe that quote is from Gloin, at the Council of Elrond. He was asking the elf lords in attendance to comment on where the elf rings were.

If it counts as a quote, then Gimlis battle cry has to be the coolest battle cry out there.

Actually it is Mim the petty dwarf, who is speaking I believe, to Hurin. This is around when Hurin comes to investigate the ruins of Nagothorond (I dont think I spelled that right, did I?)

Actualy the reason no one got your first quote is I believe you misquoted.

Did you mean Which was said by Gimli to Legolas as he attempted to turn around to ride to the Ent on their way to Isengard.

Now, your second I can't seem to find. It wasn't in the RotK appendix was it, said by Gimli?

I believe the second one is said by Gimli to Legolas at Helms Deep in ROTK.

That's what I thought too, but it isn't.

It IS Gimli to Legolas, but when they entered Minas Tirth not about Helm's Deep.
