TTT: Quote Game
This was inspired by Nurumaiel's FOTR: Quote Game, so the rules are pretty much the same. (I hope you don't mind my 'borrowing' them, Nurumaiel. )
The game goes on like any normal quote thread, except that a. you may only use quotes from TTT, the book, and b. we are keeping score, but no competitiveness please, just for fun. Alright, first quote:

Three times is a threat!
Who said it? To whom? Where? When what was happening/in what chapter (either goes)?

Have fun guys

Tinuviel Took 05-28-2003 04:30 AM

Gollum to Sam and Frodo, in the Marshes as a third nazgul flys over their heads.

GaladrieloftheOlden 05-30-2003 10:06 AM

Correct Tinuviel! Please don't forget to post the score under your quote...

Tinuviel Took 05-31-2003 03:25 AM

Okay, this may be a hard one (Although you never know with you people) so I'll offer hints if needed.

GaladrieloftheOlden 06-08-2003 10:46 AM

I thought that was Aragorn in FotR... but oh well. Gandalf to Theoden?

Elentarimir 06-08-2003 12:15 PM

Aragorn to Eomer?

Orofaniel 06-08-2003 01:59 PM

This is only a wild guess, Aragorn to Legolas?

Beren87 06-08-2003 07:01 PM

Gimli to Aragorn and Legolas, after they sang the song of the winds at the passing of Boromir..

gilraŽn 06-09-2003 12:28 AM

Beren is correct

Beren87 06-09-2003 07:41 PM

Happy Birthday to me...

GaladrieloftheOlden 06-09-2003 11:37 PM

Happy Birthday!
Aragorn about Merry and Pippin?

gilraŽn 06-10-2003 12:15 AM

Happy Birthday Beren, and many of them

Eomer to Gandalf at the Fords of Isen?

GaladrieloftheOlden 06-10-2003 01:14 AM

Other way around, maybe? Gandalf to Eomer/Theoden about the fallen men who were being buried, that they saw on the way to Isengard?

Orofaniel 06-10-2003 06:57 AM

Happy birthday Beren, one day late....but it's better a little late then never!

Okey...I also think it's Gandalf to Eomer...

Beren87 06-10-2003 09:04 PM

GotO is correct!

And thanks for all the very fond Birthday wishes.

Ringannunwen 06-10-2003 10:58 PM

And is GaladrieloftheOlden going to give a quote?

Beren87 06-10-2003 11:17 PM

That she will in due time.

Please check out the Quiz Room Rules if you're new to this forum. You'll see Galadriel has 10 days to post a new quote, and I'm sure she will well within that ten days.

gilraŽn 06-11-2003 12:47 AM

'Look!' said Gandalf. 'Friends have laboured here.'
And they saw that in the midst of the eyot a mound was piled, ringed with stones, and set about with many spears.
'Here lie all the Men of the Mark that fell near this place,' said Gandalf.
'Here let them rest!' said Eomer. 'And when their spears have rotted and rusted, long still may their mound stand and guard the Fords of Isen!'
'Is this your work also, Gandalf, my friend?' said Theoden. 'You accomplished much in an evening and a night!'

Beren87 06-11-2003 12:56 AM

Sorry about that. Thanks for the PM. Your turn.

Beren87 06-20-2003 03:21 PM

Your turn, gilraŽn.

gilraŽn 06-20-2003 04:21 PM

Sorry I'd forgotten about this one.

Now let us go!

gilraŽn 07-15-2003 05:49 PM

A hint needed?

Now let us go!' he said, drawing his eyes away from the South, and looking out west and north to the way that he must tread.

Beren87 07-15-2003 07:08 PM

Well, now it's none too difficult. Aragorn to the other two of the three walkers.

gilraŽn 07-16-2003 03:50 AM

Correct, your go

Beren87 07-26-2003 01:39 PM

Orofaniel 07-27-2003 01:04 PM

Well, maybe not..

Beren87 07-28-2003 12:44 PM
