symestreem 03-22-2004 07:01 PM

No, but Mr. Man is on the right track.

Orcrist 03-22-2004 08:43 PM

Still no clue...

How about a clue?

Mad Baggins 03-22-2004 08:56 PM

The right track? Hmm...Jed Brophy?

Nimikôi Angarauko 03-23-2004 02:13 PM

John Rhys Davies, because of his allergy to laytex they had to use a wheat based glue, instead of the standard laytex based, to bing his prostetics to his face

symestreem 03-24-2004 06:08 PM

No, it was in his hair. It was a replacement for another product that would have melted uner the lights.
The Making of the Movie Trilogy

Nimikôi Angarauko 03-24-2004 06:26 PM

During the filming of the the pass of the Caradhras sequence instead of using real snow they used a synthetic snow, I can't remember exactly what it was amde of thouigh.

symestreem 03-24-2004 06:52 PM

*shakes head* Something edible.

Orcrist 03-24-2004 08:38 PM

And the random guessing goes on...

Was it gelatin? (I have no idea)

Samwise 03-25-2004 05:34 PM

Yet another random gues...

It was New Zealand, so...it wasn't vegemite, was it? :p

symestreem 03-26-2004 12:38 PM

It was something you would go to the store, buy a box of, and prepare for dinner. So no vegemite. What is that, anyway?

Samwise 03-26-2004 04:11 PM

Code:

Vegemite is this really yucky "spread";p (for crackers and the like) that they use "down under".(No offense to any Aussies or NZers).
A can or a box....?

I want to say macaroni, but I never heard of macaroni in a can....or spaghetti sauce for some odd reason comes to mind, but never heard of that in a box... :(

~Samwise, the clueless Hobbit.

symestreem 03-26-2004 04:32 PM

Erm... no... that would be kind of messy. You can eat this by itself, so it's not a sauce.

P.S. IMHO, the kind that comes out of the box is inferior.

Samwise 03-26-2004 04:44 PM

Yuck...

I guess it would be messy, wouldn't it....

Powdered or condensed milk? No, tat would be messy, too....

*takes another stab in the dark*

Mashed potatoes?

Mithisilien 03-26-2004 05:47 PM

I think another hint is in order. Is it a prominant feature? Like a nose or something?

The Saucepan Man 03-26-2004 06:11 PM

This is not Ready, Steady Cook!

Come on folks, you're supposed to be guessing the actor not the type of food. Identifying the food may help, but your guesses should be actors.

So far we've had:

Quote:

Orlando Bloom
Liv Tyler
Cate Blanchett (twice)
Viggo Mortenson
Sean Astin (twice)
Ian McKellen
Elijah Wood
Hugo Weaving
John Rhys-Davies (twice)
Sala Baker
Lawrence Makaore (said to be on the right track)
Jed Brophy
So come on. There can't be too many more candidates...

Mithisilien 03-26-2004 06:26 PM

Andy Serkis? He had a lot of makeup in the "Gollum Transformation scene" in Rotk...

Gil-Galad 03-26-2004 06:37 PM

Billy Boyd or Dom?

Orcrist 03-26-2004 08:36 PM

How long have we been going on this question now?

Sean Bean?

symestreem 03-26-2004 08:39 PM

It wasn't Lawrence Makaore, it was the Mr. Potato-head that was on the right track. Samwise has the food, now just find the actor. :)
Who or what does Jed Brophy play??...

Orcrist 03-26-2004 09:04 PM

And after 10 days of random guessing...

Brad Dourif(Wormtongue). He had potato flakes in his hair for dandruff. At first they used soap flakes but those wouldn't stick under the lights.

The Perky Ent 03-27-2004 07:55 AM

Bernard Hill, or however you spelll it. The guy who played Theoden

symestreem 03-27-2004 08:11 AM

Yea!!

Orcrist has it. This is also the guy who shaved off his eyebrows... (Brad Dourif, I mean, not Orcrist.)

Orcrist 03-27-2004 01:14 PM

Finally, a new question...

Which main actor was not at the Fellowship Priemere(sp?)

symestreem 03-27-2004 01:18 PM

I believe it was Cate Blanchett; she had just had a child.

Mithisilien 03-27-2004 01:21 PM

I'm gonna say Viggo Mortensen, he's so anti social

Samwise 03-27-2004 01:40 PM

Christopher Lee? I know he boycotted one of the films because PJ cut out some of his scenes or something.

The Perky Ent 03-27-2004 02:10 PM

Andy Sercis (sp?) He's a main character and since he wasn't really in FORT, i guess he didn't show?

Orcrist 03-27-2004 02:40 PM

You got it symestreem. ( Ican see you read THe Making of the Trilog)

symestreem 03-27-2004 03:29 PM

*nods*
MUAHAHAHA, the thread is mine once more!!!!!!!!! *thunder crashes*
:p Sorry. I have to go hunt up trickssy questionses, Precious. I'll be back later.

symestreem 03-27-2004 05:02 PM

What was wrong with the scene in which the Ringwraiths pursue Arwen and Frodo? (It has nothing to do with the stunt doubles.)

Orcrist 03-27-2004 05:26 PM

Not for long symestreem*evil cackle*

On the first day of shooting, one of the Ringwraiths fell off his horse.

symestreem 03-27-2004 05:37 PM

Oh really?

Not what I'm looking for.
This "thing" is apparent if you watch the movie.

Eowyn Skywalker 03-27-2004 05:50 PM

I haven't watched that scene in so long... *grrrrrr*
Okay, but I think I've heard something about this... There weren't enough, or there were too many wraiths... something like that.
I really have no clue, beyond that possibility...
-Eowyn Skywalker

Samwise 03-27-2004 06:17 PM

As usual, not a clue....

Maybe hey couldn't make the sizes of "Arwen" and "Frodo" the right proportion?

Orcrist 03-27-2004 06:23 PM

Back to random guessing...

One of the Ringwraiths' horses was brown instead of black?

Samwise 03-27-2004 06:29 PM

My next random guess....

Well, for one thing, Arwen wasn't even supposed to be there....

Uh....Arwen spoke a line in English when it was supposed to be Elvish?

Arvedui III 03-27-2004 06:58 PM

In some parts of it, Frodo has that greenish nasty stuff around his mouth and in other parts he doesn't.

Mithisilien 03-27-2004 07:03 PM

The cloudcover keeps changing- sometime's it's a perfectly clear sky and othertimes it's completely overcast.

symestreem 03-27-2004 07:10 PM

No to all of the above. What do you mean about the line in English, Samwise?
This is a cinch. A blind man could get it. :D

Samwise 03-27-2004 07:43 PM

Just when she says "No, no, you must not." I don't really know what language that was supposed to be in; I was just throwing something out, 'cause I really have no clue.
