Tjoho Melephelwen, where are you?
No it's not Faramir.
And sorry for not replying, to be honest I forgot that my quote was up... Should I tell who it is? |
Tell so we can continue! I can't find it.
Me either. Or maybe I am not trying hard enough... Arwen? Beregond? Bergil? Denethor?
Just a wild guess could it be Pippin? Really i have no idea.
Éowyn?
Anyway, this is getting slightly ridiculous.... Melephelwen? |
Aragorn. Sorry for being so long! Honestly!
And I won't be on the next week, so somebody else must go. And next time I do this stupid stuff, if I'm not "saying" anything in say, 3 days, just jump on to the next quote! Really, I didn't mean to be away! |
Aragorn...doh. (Why didn´t I think of that?..)
Alright then, I am posting a new quote...: Quote:
wild guess Merry?
Sounds like something Frodo says to Sam, in Mordor (obviously)...?! I might not be on in a while, so if I'm right and don't post a quote in 2 days, anyone can post..
You are correct Laivine. Please proceed.

Quote:
Um...a hint maybe? I reall don´t have a clue...
Laivine?
Oh yes, sorry I haven't been on for a little while. It's in FotR, and not said by a man nor a hobbit. That should help

Hey, what about quotes in finnish..? I know, I know, it isn't a germanic language, but Finland is afterall one of the Nordic countries, eh?
Damn. It just occured to me that noone except me could probably quote in finnish... Anyways: This is just on tip of my tongue. *thinks hard* Oh well, let us guess: Gandalf? In -*thinks even harder*- Bag End, to Frodo? Probably not, but it was worth the shot. |
No, sorry, no quotes in Finnish. I have absolutely nothing against Finnish, but the language, as you said yourself, isn´t a Germanic language. The quotes should be in Swedish, Norweigan, Danish or Icelandic, as I stated when I started this thread.
Check out the Quotes in other languages-thread, there you can post quotes in Finnish. [ December 29, 2002: Message edited by: Eärendil ] |
Galadriel to somebody i dont know (just a guess)
It is not Gandalf, nor Galadriel. Not so many options left now, hmmmm...
Legolas? I have no idea of who he would say it to though...Gimli?
Indeed it was Legolas! And it's been such a long time since I posted my quote that I've completely forgotten to whom he spoke. He was talking about Lothlorien though, if my memory serves me correctly Your turn Eärendil!
Quote:
It's Haldir, when the fellowship arrives at the borders of Lorien - he say's he cannot let the dwarf pass.
That is very correct of course. Proceed.
Quote:
Gandalf?
Gandalf was there, yes - he was actually the one who this remark was directed at. Another hint: It's from "Fellowship...".
I think it's Bilbo talking to Gandalf when he's leaving the Shire...? but it's been awhile since I read the fellowship so I wouldn't be surprised if im faaar off!
LOL we're closing in - not Bilbo but a relative... Bilbo had left at the time of this conversation.
Frodo? It should be...
Yup! You're right of course - Frodo speaking to Gandalf (after he realises he must leave The Shire) about how the Shire & it's people have often annoyed him so he wished they should experience a dragon attack!
Ok, I am finally posting a quote....
Quote:
Anyone? A clue perhaps?
Is it Shagrat, talking to Snaga or something? I honestly haven't got a clue.
No, it is not Shagrat, but it IS an orc....
Ugluk!
Correctomundo! Proceed.

What kind of language is that?! :O Hehe. Is the quote something along the lines of "Og hvis alt fagerfolk drar til strendene, er det trist for de som blir igjen..." it kinda looked like that and i seem to remember a quote like that somehwere in the book, Sam or something..?
It is the Quenya to your Sindarin, my good Laivine.
As for your guess, the quote is correct but the speaker is not. |
