What the heck? Morrannon
With the battle at the Morrannon. When Aragorn is having his "great speach of the king" moment, he is sitting on a horse. But when they charge for battle, all the horses are gone. Is that just a major mistake or something I missed, because it sure bugged me.

another editing moment where jackson was forced to cut screen time down, no doubt.
I noticed this bit too, and we may have the Mouth of Sauron bit here. ie the guys ride away from the gate as it opens, and then up comes the mouth of sauron with frodo's mithril coat. Everyone gets off their horses to Parley and then Aragorn kicks some butt. They then 'realise' Frodo is dead (bit different from the books but this ssems to tie in with Aragorn's immortal line) and then he states 'For Frodo' and charges. I've noticed quite a few areas of the film where the film has been hacked at. For example, gandalf and pippin getting ready to die in MT, and then next we see gandalf nodding his head to Aragorn on the Pellenor fields. plus many others I won't bore you wirh. |
Oh, my gosh!
My friend and I were sitting in the theatre, and immediately she realized the flaw. She hit my arm purty hard and said, "See? I told you he would mess it up!" I, however, was engrossed in the story and said, "What...? Be quiet..." |
I think the reason that this happened was because the scene with the Mouth of Sauron was cut out due to the overall running time of the movie.

Yes, I expect you will see what happens to those horses in the EE. Check out my thread about it, because we all discuss what will be in the EE. I'm preparing a list of things I know that should/will be in the EE. For instance, did anyone notice that there was a bit of a cut between when Sam steps towards the dark tower, and then the camera cuts to a view when he is instantly passed the two watchers?
