I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but (for all you Veggie fans out there) Veggie Tales is putting out a LotR parody called Lord of the Beans around Christmas 2005. It will star:
That's quoted, because it came straight from the mouth of Larry the Cucumber. (my hero!:p) I have no guarantee of this, but we can all be hopeful! I wonder who will take the part of Gandalf.......

Oh, sweet! I definitely have to see this movie when it comes out...

My bet is for, um, what's'isname, the zucchini who played Mr. Nezzer and the King in Esther. I haven't watched those movies in forever.

you mean Archirbald Asparagus, Morai? :D Actually, he gets my brother's vote for Saruman. I don't think so though. I picture him as being either the "Narrator" (as he was in Lyle the Kindly Viking) or Denethor.

He is Mr. Nezzer! that's his given name. he's played Olaf in Lyle the Kindly Viking, King Xerxes in Esther, and, um, a couple other roles that don't come to my mind right now.

A veggie tales parody movie! Excellent! That is most non non non non non heinous! I must check that out! I can see Bob as Sam, Larry as Gandalf or Aragorn, and Archibald as Saruman! This will be sooo kewl!

My vote is so on Junior Asparagus to play Pippin. I totally agree with that random brother... Archibald is SO Saruman. Who can see Larry as Frodo, though. Come on. Maybe Bob as Sam, but... I think Larry is way better singing drinking songs with Junior A. After all, his nose is the same shape as Merry's...

I found the synopsis for it yesterday. It is technically for the book but I guess there are not very many changes between book and movie:
The Veggies are back in a brand new tale with all new characters, and a Flobbit who is given a special bean and longs to know what it’s for. Junior Asparagus plays the role of the Flobbit who is given a magical bean. At first, the Flobbit dreams of wonderful things that he can get with the bean, but then he wonders if there is a greater purpose for it. So he and his friends travel through the Razzberry Forest to get advice from the Trees, who send them to an unknown land. Will the Flobbit cave in to his desires to use the bean for lots of fun things? Or will he travel through the gates of a brand new land and discover that God gives us all special gifts that he wants us to use to help others?

Cooooooool, I definitely wanna see that parody.
I once came across a small comic parody called lord of the onion rings, (though i believe there might be more then one parody by that name) hilarious.

This is going to be awesome! I can't wait! Once more, Christmas time will signify the release of a LOTR movie!

Ugh! I can't stand Junior's voice! Especially when he sings!

I just bought a new VTs movie and looked at the previews. Lord of the Beans was there. the orcs are going to be sporks (half spoons and half forks) Gandalf will be played by Mr. Nezzar, Junior wil play Toto Baggy-pants, Pa grape will be Gimli , and I dont remember there names but the gorgs will be Legolas and Sam. Larry is playing Aragorn and it didnt look like there was a Merry and Pippin but the french peas would have been perfect for them.

It looks hilarious.

The gourds are Jimmy and Jerry. Indeed, I cannot wait until this comes out!!! :D :cool:

Edit: Evidently it's not a joke. It says it's coming out in October...on DVD and VHS. Wow.

I think the characters look funny, but you just can't do certain stories.

They didn't mention Sam...they couldn't leave him out, could they?

I guess it’s more of a play on the story then being roughly the same.

My friend told me something about this last year. I thought it would have been out by now. Sounds pretty good though. The fearless ranger Ear-A-Corn. Brilliant. :)

Wow, just imagine LotR featuring vegetables! I wonder if they're making a Silmarillion . . .

The movie looks awesome. I don't know if anyone has said this, but Toto's Uncle Billboy is played by Archibald Asparagus.
