why does gandalve change colour
sorry but why does gandalve or whatvea his name is change a color at the movie becuase i don't get it. is he a camelion or some thing cos he just changed color and he was all weird and stuff.
|
It's spelled Gandalf.
He changed color when he died. He was Gandalf the Grey before, but when he returned from the dead, he was Gandalf the white. The change to white also symbolized his new place as the head of the wizards in Middle-Earth, which had previously been Saruman's position. |
White is a natural progression from grey, as I'm sure any elderly person can tell you. Then for some next comes the blue rinse, but we don't often hear of that.
|
"the White" was origionally Sarumans title as head wizard, but it was revoked and given to Gandalf for sacrificing himself. It's beem said that Gandalf became what Saruman should have been.
|
I described it this way once "The veil of flesh is a bit more thin in white than in grey." meaning Gandalf came back more powerful than he was at frist.
|
As far as I know, Gandalf was went back by the Valar to finish his job in uniting Middle Earth and leading the united races to victory over Sauron.
Saruman changed his own colours didn't he? He believed that multicolours showed more power, because it shows his apparent mastery of all. |
The only reason i'm here is to say that i'm ticked at how this guy spelled Gandalf.

he became white because he replaced Saruman and took his colour.
