Is anyone going to the 2006 Gathering of the Fellowship?
 

I had a thread back in 2003 for the original Gathering of the Fellowship, but I was wondering if anyone is going to this year's.

A little more info about the event:

It spans from July 1st-July 4th in Toronto, ON.
Some event highlights include: discussions, panels, art show, masquerade ball & contest, costumed picnic, vendors, games, trilogy viewing in theatre, and LOTR the Musical. They have lots of great scholarly guests as well as famous artists. Moviewise, right now they have Craig Parker and Bruce Hopkins there.

I will be there, as I am on the committee (stage liason... woo!). You can get discounted admission for volunteering, or free admission for being on the committee.

Anyone else going? We could meet up for a BD dinner, perhaps?

Hmm. A chance to see Mithrandir's fireworks for Canada Day. hmmm.

There's some interesting things there and I'd like the chance to see Fleiger and Nasmith and Howe. Even ask Michael Martinez some leading questions based on some old history here. ;)

Alrighty... I'm definitely gonna be there. I'm on the committee as the Stage Liason for the musical... so, my trip is basically paid for except for gas and food. Some lovely friends who live near the venue are letting me crash at their place.

I wish I could meet some of you there, seeing as how I'm going by myself... so, I hope hope hope some of you will decide to come :-)

If I could magically transport myself and inhabit my older sister's Toronto-living body I would definately be there. Shame I'm all the way on the other side of the continent.
