Fun Quiz: Which Fantasy/SF Character are you?

Here's a bit of fun for you all. :smokin:

Which Fantasy or SF Character are you?

Lots of LOTR characters to choose from (lots of characters full stop), but I'm interested in who gets Voldemort, then I can keep out of their way. ;)

I am Obi-Wan Kenobi by the way.

The page also has a link to an amusing D&D character quiz , in which I am a Chaotic Good Elf Mage Monk or something. Which sounds quite similar to Obi-Wan. I must be having something of a Zen morning...

Macalaure 06-20-2006 02:40 AM

I'm Samwise, now that's sweet. Though it says I'm full of optimism... wonder where I've lost that. ;)

The other one tells me I'm a 'Chaotic Good Half-Elf Ranger Druid', which sounds like a Green gone mad - interesting.

Thanks for the tests, Lal!

Firefoot 06-20-2006 06:06 AM

Yoda, I got. :D

Estelyn Telcontar 06-20-2006 06:13 AM

I'm Gandalf: A wandering spirit caring for a multitude of just concerns, you are an instrumental power in many of the causes around you.

Pretty good, eh?! Thanks for the fun, Lal!

JennyHallu 06-20-2006 06:15 AM

I'm Leia. Passionate proponent of justice or something like that.

Anguirel 06-20-2006 06:37 AM

You won't believe this, but I answered honestly and I'm Aragorn...

Putting your appointed path ahead of any inner conflicts, you make your own rules for the benefit of all.

Do I indeed? Er, thanks.

EDIT: Cross-referenced this with the Barrow Downs Personality Test. Aragorn again. Well, who'd have thought it...

EDIT: I'm also a Lawful Good Elf Bard Mage. Basically, a drip.

mormegil 06-20-2006 06:49 AM

Yoda as well.

A venerated sage with vast power and knowledge, you gently guide forces around you while serving as a champion of the light.

Judge me by my size, do you? And well you should not - for my ally is the Force. And a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us, and binds us. Luminescent beings are we, not this crude matter! You must feel the Force around you, everywhere.
Edit: Lawful Good Human Paladin Fighter on the D and D quiz.

Which Obi-Wan, Lal? The Alex Guiness great one or the upstart kid one? ;)

I'm torn between wanting to be Bones--"I"m a doctor, not a bricklayer"--and Worf--"Today is a good day to die". ;) It would also help if I knew Babylon 5.

Instead, I get Galadriel. Huh? Maybe it's the Saladriel influence? And is there any mention of rebellious Galadriel in that description?

Rune Son of Bjarne 06-20-2006 07:15 AM

This is actually quite disturbing. . .

I have taken this test before and ended up as Sam, not something I was very happy about, but I could live with it.

Now I took it again, just for fun and this result came up: Worf !

Not what I expected . . .

Oddwen 06-20-2006 07:21 AM

I came up as Gandalf. Hmm. I've never thought of myself as a Gandalf.

Now, a Neutral Good Half-Elf Bard Ranger, follower of Oghma I can see, but Gandalf? Hmm.

It gives a picture of Mr McGregor but then says: With the prowess of a seasoned samurai and the wisdom of a wizard, you try to do the sort of things that root out evil. The Force can have a strong influence on the weak-minded. So I think that means the Alec Guinness one. I was quite pleased and smug about that, as you can imagine. ;)

Holbytlass 06-20-2006 09:47 AM

I'm Luke Skywalker.

It's your choice, but I warn you not to underestimate my powers.
This is way cool, especially since I have had a crush on Mark Hamill for twenty some-odd years! And people do tend to underestimate me, sometimes with good reason ;).

True Neutral Half-Elf Ranger Druid

True Neutral characters are very rare. They believe that balance is the most important thing, and will not side with any other force. They will do whatever is necessary to preserve that balance, even if it means switching allegiances suddenly.

Valier 06-20-2006 09:52 AM

I'm princess Leia!! I wasn't expecting that!:p

Kath 06-20-2006 09:59 AM

Haha! I got Aragorn! No idea how since I said I'd rig elections and take bribes :D

Feanor of the Peredhil 06-20-2006 10:10 AM

Galadriel

Possessing a rare combination of wisdom and humility, while serenely dominating your environment you selflessly use your powers to care for others.

Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.

----------------------

I'm not sure if I approve of the word dominate since that implies intentionally having power over others... something I've never wanted. But I'm okay with the rest of it. :)

Anguirel 06-20-2006 10:11 AM

Snap, Kath, snap...but it kind of fits with the description of Aragorn they gave...

"Pssst. You make me King of dem Gondorians and I'll getchoo some good fings, a'right?"

Hilde Bracegirdle 06-20-2006 10:12 AM

Yoder, the Amish Master of Tar Wars! :D "May the horse be with you."

Err... make that Yoda.

EDIT: Oh and a "Chaotic Good Elf Ranger Druid"

Kath 06-20-2006 10:20 AM

I am also a:

Quote:

Chaotic Good Half-Elf Bard Ranger
Follower Of Hanali Cenanil
So, what does that mean?

Ang, good point, and no! I shall be king!

Anguirel 06-20-2006 10:24 AM

You can have Gondor, Kath, and enjoy sitting around with all the pompous lords and diplomats and what have you. I shall be a tall, dark, huskily voiced Ranger hunting in the Wilds. Nyah!

Márcolië Lamen 06-20-2006 11:35 AM

I've taken this before and got Spock, I took it again, and got Spock, apparently the whole logic thing makes me Spock, and I'm Spock every time I take it.

Quote:

A focused advisor whose actions are dictated by almost pure logic, you believe in exploring the fascinating possibilities around you.

Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

and for the other one:
Neutral Good Elf Ranger Bard
Follower Of Mielikki

oh, and if I change one answer for the one question I'm really not sure of how to answer I become
True Neutral Elf Ranger Mage
Follower Of Silvanus

So I'm one of those two

I'm an Elf Ranger at least I know.

Tuor in Gondolin 06-20-2006 11:46 AM

Good grief! Mr. Spock!

Have some fun only once every seven years. Aaaaaaaaaagh! :(

Naria 06-20-2006 12:10 PM

LOL.....As it turns out I would be Londo Mollari off of Babylon 5. Gahh, and I don't even watch that show. He does however have a very "neat" hairdo  !!

Eomer of the Rohirrim 06-20-2006 12:28 PM

Well that was very amusing. I got Wesley Crusher, whoever that is. Star Trek? Whatever.

And Chaotic Good Human Fighter Ranger. :D

Kath 06-20-2006 12:33 PM

Yep Star Trek. Means you're a science nerd mostly :p

Mithalwen 06-20-2006 12:42 PM

I got John Sheridan who I had never heard of and when I retook the test because I couldn't remember his name I got Jean Luc Picard... and for the other stuff I am Lawful Neutral Elf Ranger Bard Follower Of Silvanus - snappy title hey?

Brinniel 06-20-2006 12:44 PM

I got Aragorn, the second most popular result. Apparently, I'm not as unique as I thought....

On the D&D quiz, I'm a Neutral Good Human Ranger Fighter. Interesting....

Roa_Aoife 06-20-2006 01:09 PM

Yoda

And

Neutral Good Half-Elf Ranger Druid
Follower Of Mielikki

Mithalwen 06-20-2006 01:13 PM

Does this D&D stuff mean anything? I mean it isn't quite my bag but I am vaguely aware of Yoda and watched the old star trek way back when .. but all this Pigeon Scarer of the Statue God or whatever makes me think I come from another planet (Albeit one where Swan Upping is a legal activity)....

the phantom 06-20-2006 01:23 PM

I got Raistlin, but I'm afraid that doesn't mean much to me seeing as I haven't read those books.

the phantom 06-20-2006 01:44 PM

I took the D&D quiz thingummy and got...

Lawful Evil Elf Mage Bard

I'm assuming that's supposed to be bad?

Roa_Aoife 06-20-2006 02:32 PM

Quote:

Lawful Evil Elf Mage Bard
Not necessarily bad in gaming terms, though oddly fitting for you, phantom. ;)

The implications of the Elf part ought to be obvious, but let's just say it goes along well with being a mage, which is also self expalnitory.

Due to the way many of their skills and class traits are based on NPC interaction, a bard can be a very entertaining class for someone who enjoys roleplaying a lot as well as the gaming aspects of dungeons and dragons.

Diamond18 06-20-2006 02:36 PM

I vaguely recall taking this test before, and getting this same result:

Galadriel

Possessing a rare combination of wisdom and humility, while serenely dominating your environment you selflessly use your powers to care for others.

Anguirel 06-20-2006 02:40 PM

Well...the "serenely" bit is quite surprising...

the phantom 06-20-2006 02:52 PM

Gah! First Beth and Fea, and then Di!

Why are so many of my favorite people getting Galadriel?! I can't stand her!

This just ruins my day.

Feanor of the Peredhil 06-20-2006 03:00 PM

You're just intimidated by hot women in positions of power. :p

Roa_Aoife 06-20-2006 03:13 PM

If anyone doesn't understand their D&D result, I can help define it for you.

Durelin 06-20-2006 03:47 PM

I love these things... I got:

Elrond
"A stern yet benevolent organizer who often knows best, your wits are keenly fixed on aiding efforts you deem worthy."

and

Chaotic Good Elf Bard Ranger
Follower Of Hanali Cenanil

Meela 06-20-2006 03:55 PM

I'm Luke Skywalker the Chaotic Good Elf Bard Ranger, which is a lot to say in a hurry.

Celuien 06-20-2006 04:01 PM

Yoda. Why couldn't I have been Galadriel? Or Spock? :p :D

And Lawful Good Elf Ranger Bard. Follower Of Mielikki.

Because I had no idea what that last one meant, I went to Wikipedia:
Quote:

Lawful Good

"Crusader"

Lawful good combines honor and compassion for the innocent.

A lawful good character upholds society and its laws, believing that these laws are created to work for the good and prosperity of all. He is both honest and benevolent. He will work within the established system to change it for the better, and strives to bring order to goodness that other good-aligned characters might pool their resources to better the world. A lawful good character combines a commitment to oppose evil with discipline. Most lawful good characters live by a strict code of honor, or by the rules of conduct set down by their deity. They will generally selflessly act by these codes even at the cost of their own life.

It must however be stressed that blind obedience to local laws is not required by the Lawful Good alignment. A Paladin is not in violation of his alignment if he decides to take up arms against a usurper on behalf of the rightful king, for example, even if that means going against the sedition laws instated by the usurper.

It should be noted that a lawful good character does not actually have to obey laws, as intimated above. Lawful alignment means that the character prefers a structured life to any other; this typically means that a set of codified laws are followed.

An incorruptible cop, a ruler or politician who acts for the good of his people, and a heroic soldier who strictly obeys the laws of battle are all examples of lawful good characters.

Encaitare 06-20-2006 04:25 PM

Make it so!

I got Jean-Luc Picard. :D

An accomplished diplomat who can virtually do no wrong, you sometimes know it is best to rely on the council of others while holding the reins.

There are some words which I have known since I was a schoolboy. "With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably." These words were uttered by Judge Aaron Satie -- as a wisdom, and warning. The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we're all damaged.
