-Are you allowed to complain?

Please tell me if this is against the rules.... I have started a thread in the Novices and Newcomers forum a while ago and am worried that I haven't got any replies. Also, is there an option for deleting duplicate threads? - Morwen.

I think deleting duplicate threads can be done by the mods only... but they'd take care of it, I think, so don't worry.

And as for not getting any replies, well, it can happen sometimes. Especially if you take a really specific topic - like it seems you did. For instance, I am not familiar at all with the subject, so I cannot post there. I think probably there might be very many people who are not familiar with it (certainly more who are not than those who are). Those who are might not have just found it yet or are busy, or whatever... it can happen. Sometimes a thread can be forgotten, or taken up only after months... like I said, probably many people might not be familiar with it or don't have anything to say. But don't give up hope. It's not been THAT long time yet, and it's holiday. But most of all I think that once you find somebody, then it will be somebody who knows, so there will be a great opportunity to talk.

I think you will have to ask an admin nicely to delete teh duplicate - I think thread starters used to be able to delete them but not now - I tried to delete a thread of my own which noone replied to. :(

I don't think you can complain just because you haven't any replies! It is always a little disappointing but your thread if it is the one concerning "Bewitched" is a rather specific one. There aren't so many downers who were around in the sixties and I am one of the older ones and I have only seen the odd repeat of this show and not enough to comment. If you want a lot of replies try a more general subject maybe.

Also maybe try to contribute to other threads and raise your profile. I can't speak for others but I tend to make more effort to check out threads by people who I have notices have interesting things to say. It is quiet on the forums but don't give up!

Okay... I'm sorry for the assumption but I actually have DVDs of the series- bought by my parents (I'm sixteen...rather than just seeing repeats) so I assumed that other people would also have DVDs... I guess I'll leave it then. Maybe "Does anyone want to compare other shows they've watched/stories they've read to Beren and Luthien?" would be a better idea)

morwen, don't be discouraged. I can remember posting a thread that got no replies for a very long time. Summer months can be a slow time of year for the forum. It may take a bit of patience to wait for members to join in and discuss your topic.

I'll take care of the dupicate thread for you - no problem.
