Does anyone know how long Faramir lived? I can't seem to find a record. Gandalf said that the blood of the Numenoreans ran nearly true in him so wouldn't he have lived for 200-odd years?

In Appendix A of LOTR, in Part I The NUmenorean Kings, section (ii)The Realms in Exile, there is an annal of all the Kings and Stewards of the Reams in Exile. The very last Steward mentioned is Faramir, it gives the date of his death as FA 82. This might be deceiving, because if you look at it at first, it looks like it is saying the year Aragorn died, but if you look closer, you will see that it is the death year of Faramir. According to Appendix B, the Tale of the Years, Faramir was born in TA 2983! Simply do the math, and regard the years involved in the change of ages, and you got the age Faramir lived up to: 120! <img src=smile.gif ALT=":)">

Eghty-two is a respectable age in the lesser line of Gondor, for Aragorn himself lived to be 210, which was longer than any at that time.

Faramir is one of the honorable characters in the book. A side question... How long did Eowyn live? And how many kids did they have?

No one knows when Eowyn died or the names of their children. They had at least one, though, because they have a grandson, Barahir.

And so it leaves alot of room for speculation as to how many children they hsad, and whether Barahir was of the eldest line or not. Thanks for the quote Legolas. I knew I read that long ago.
