"The Roads Go Ever On" as sung by Brocelïande

I think this is my favorite rendition of "Roads", and I just thought I would share it.

It is very hobbit-esque.

It is very Hobbit-esque. I also like the version from the 1977 Rankin Bass Hobbit cartoon (sung by Glen Yarborough). Oddly enough, Donald Swann's version, which JRRT approved of, always struck me as too polished and professional.

That was a delightful listen. Thanks for sharing!

You are most welcome!

"Roads" from Rankin/Bass's The Hobbit I also admire very much. I just listened to the Donald Swann version for the first time. I agree with you, it does seem strange for that to be the version Tolkien approved of. But then, I suppose he didn't hear either of the other versions mentioned here, and so they didn't get a chance to be his favorite.
