Rings of Power and 'Ordinary' Magic Rings

Just wondering...

There are the Rings of Power, and then there are other magic rings. What is the difference, exactly (besides the obvious)? And was Barahir a magic ring at all?

Well, the rings of power were all conected to the one ring. Basically I think that the only difference is that the rings of power were more powerful.

Correct, the Ring of Power were more powerful:the others were sort of practices of the craft.
Finrod's ring had no 'magic'.

The stronger the will of the ring's creator, the more powerful is the ring. Actually, anyone is theoretically able to make a ring more or less magic.
