great pictures!
 

there are so many different pictures on the works and worlds of Tolkien, and most (but certainly not all!) of them are magnificent. the problem is: i only got one source of the pictures (and there are many pictures from the movies). can someone give me some more URL's, or even pictures about LOTR, TH or SILM?

A great place to go for pictures is here. They have over 1000 pictures from FoTR. They don't have anything from TTT and RoTK though...

If you're interested in images from JRRT's works by artists then click on "Related Links" on the BD homepage and go to the Nightrunner gallery. There are literally thousands of images there. In fact, I might as well post the link here.

Thanks Eressië Ailin, that one website is really good. I was able to find a picture that I had never found anywhere else. It was actually a photo that I am using as a wallpaper right now. My sister loves Orlando Bloom and it is this one part from the Council of Elrond. She would always pause our DVD player and zoom in at this point, and I always said "This would make a really good wallpaper" and happily it really does [img]smilies/cool.gif[/img]

At this site, there a few thumbnail size images. They also have screensavers, AIM icons, and desktop images!

Don't know if someone already said this or not, go to lordoftherings.net! Then go to downloads, then backrounds. They have lots of series of backrounds. Click on one and it will come up with a group of pictures. Click on the one you want and wait a bit for it to finish loading. Once it's done loading, right-click, then go to Save As. Click it, then select the folder you want it in, then save it. I have a lot pictures of TFOTR, TTT, and a few concept art pics (about 250 total). They also have screencavers and stuff like that, it sounds confusing, but it's really not that bad. Hope it helped. [img]smilies/cool.gif[/img]
