tolkiens illustrations

i have seen on a few sites, illustrations by tolkien, and i wanted to know if anyone had links to other's by him. i really want to see him, to get a clear view of what exactly tolkien saw in his works.

There is a site dedicated to Tolkien-related artwork. It is called Relozo if I recall. It was the best such site around.

Most of Tolkien's artwork has been published in Tolkien: Artist and Illustrator (there is another book of his art but the name escapes me, even though I have it). Both books may be out of print, though I heard that Artist and Illustrator was coming out in paperback.

Here is a definitive book if you are able to get it:

J.R.R. Tolkien: Artist and Illustrator
editors: Hammond and Scull

Wow! Pio! That's cool!

Really, Ringannunwen, I knew some thought him dark-haired, but I was not aware that Tolkien himself drew him that way. Any pictures of that, by chance?
