The Sims LOTR skins
Anyone here just as crazy about playing The Sims as I am? Some of the best LOTR skins can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/skinsforsims/lotrskins.html
Itīs really fun living in a neighbourhood you share with Hobbits, Elves and Wizards! |
Ahh, thank you! I've got to check out this, I've got Elrond already, but I want a hobbit! Does the hobbit skins work on children?
|
The Hobbits are childskins. I have downloaded Hobbitskins working as adults too, but I have to search for that site, as I donīt remember where I got them from right now. I have saved them on a disc though, so I can e-mail you the zip files if I donīt find the site again.

Won't be nescessary, but thanks. I was hoping for them to be childskins, 'cause I don't have ANY interesting childskins.
|
I believe the Gimli skin is also a childskin...now THAT is an interesting childskin! If you get the adult Hobbit skins though, you can date Frodo!

You can find a lot of object suitable for a LOTR Sims neighbourhood at : http://www.thefantasimtales.com/home.html

Those are great skins. Thanks! I have been looking for some Fellowship skins. The message boards can be quite helpful. ^-^

Am I the only one who these don't really work for? Some do, the elephant one did, and the fantasims one too. Ophelia keeps crashing when I go to her site... hmm.. maybe because I'm a mac user?
|
Yes, that is probablt it...most of skins and objects are not made for Mac. There is a program somewhere that can transform PC zipfiles into Mac. If you want to I can look up that for you.

Wow! It great to see how many LOTR fans actually play the Sims. I have all 5 add-ons, and each one makes the game better (but bigger!)
I have had the fellowship in my neighbourhood for a long time now, and they seem to have settled in nicely. The only downside of course is that you can only fit 8 people in 1 house, so it takes me ages trying to decide who should live in a different house..... Thanks for all the links, I will go and check them out...now! [ November 03, 2002: Message edited by: Ainalondwen ] |
Ok, for all you Mac users...try this! But donīt ask me to explain how to do it, you have to read the website carefully and I donīt know how Mac works. But this program is supposed to covert the skins into Mac. Good luck! http://mac.bangsplat.cc/software/skinshrinker/

How do you put the skins on the sims?
|
Iīm not sure I understand what you mean. First, do you have a Mac or a PC? Have you downloaded the skins allready? Do you want to know how to download?
|
You have to check out this site, itīs amazing! http://www.theoriginalsim.com/PS/phantasims.html
Oh, and donīt forget to send a little e-mail to the keepers of the sites you download from, a little encouragement can do wonders you know. |
