The other Tolkien books

I first read The Lord of The Rings two years ago when the movies came out. I had never known of a story so great and awe inspiring as this one. I'm reading it for the fourth time now and still enjoyng it.
In my excitement for knowing more about Middle Earth and all the grandious world Tolkien created I decided to read The Silmarillion and The Hobbit and I was much more captivated.

I'm wondering about the other books like the series of History of Middle Earth. Are those more stories like the ones from The Silmarillion? or are they more like The Lord Of The Rings?

I live in México and the only ones available here are The Lord Of The Rings, The Hobbit and The Silmarillion. So I've decided to read those other books in english. Are they good? do they provide you with more knowledge about Tolkien's world?

Namarië.

I would recommend reading Unfinished Tales before you start reading The History of Middle Earth

Hey,
Wow, your story about discovering Tolkien is EXACTLY the same as mine!
I saw the movie, then read the books 3 times before the TT release, and now I'm up to The Pyre of Denethor (that title may not be accurate, my books not on me) for the fourth time!
Oh, and as for books I can suggest Unfinished Tales, which is taking some of the Silmarillion tales into more detail: a very good book! And for other Non-lotr Tolkien works, Tales of The Perilouse Realm, which is Farmer Giles of Ham, Leaf By Niggle, the Smith of Wooton Major and...another I think...all in one book! It's really good!

I'd reccomend that you check out Unfinished Tales first. I think it's a great book and parts are very interesting.
