getting in his head

what do you think was on the fellowship's mind as the quest to destroy the ring neared the end? I've always wondered what Frodo thought about his job. he was always saying he had no hope. so why did he continue on? what are your thoughts?

Sam always made him go on. He was almost under the control of the ring by that point, fighting with it, I think, it did not matter what he was doing, but he had no will of his own. Sam was just constintly worring about Frodo and his health. The others where just doing there part but they did not have a great idea of what was happening so it, I don't think, is really an issue. Interesting!

Well, as for Frodo thoughts, there are many people who have such devotion to duty that their own lives have little value in their own eyes in comparison to their mission.

Examples of this would be soldiers and missionaries.

An utter lack of hope will do that for you too.

I hadn't thought of it that way, Muse.
