Where Did Gandalf Travel to..........
In the movie FOTR, towards the begining
After Gandalf finds that the ring was with Bilbo...he then travels to a castle or a place where he looked up records of the ring and the battle against Sauron the war. What exactly is the place that he went to. |
As explained in the book (The Council of Elrond), it was Minas Tirith. Gandalf researched the scrolls and books to discover the movements of Isildur and the Ring after the war at the end of the second age.
Is this quiz thread to be about the film only? |
Gandalf went to Minas Tirith to look up information about the ring, which he found in scrolls written by Isildur himself.
Didn't he go to find out how to distinguish the One Ring to check if Frodo's ring was it?

Yes! Of course Gwaihir the Windlord would know! (Maltagaerion - check Gandalf's account to Aragorn, Legolas & Gimli in The Two Towers, The White Rider.)
Your turn, Windlord. |
Sorry for the delay. I've been on hols, or 'vacation' if you're american.
Where was Gandalf while gollum was being vaporised? |
Was he standing on the mound on the Morannon/Field of Cormallen with Aragorn?
He was. Your turn.
Where did Gandalf first meet Thorin Oakenshield?
Was it in the Green Dragon?
The Pranching Pony in Bree!
Telchar is correct! (Although it is never made completely clear - most accounts state that they met on the road near Bree)
According to him self, name two places that Gandalf had never been!
Good question! Wish I had a good answer!
To the East and Barad-dur.
Very good Elrian - proceed
