NAME THE QUOTE AND WIN....ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!

Okay, here is the quote: "........PUT IT OUT, YOU FOOLS, PUT IT OUT!"

Belegfanaion 04-19-2002 05:21 PM

That's EASY! It's Frodo on Weathertop. He says it to the other hobbits as they eat by the light of a fire, which inevitably led the Nazgūl to find and attack them.

Nevfeniel 04-28-2002 03:31 PM

Can we have a quote, now, Belegfanaion?

Gimli Son Of Gloin 05-01-2002 06:43 PM

It's more than a week, anyone can posta a quote
Quote:

Even so we cannot hope to come to Gondor's aid today.

Lindolirian 05-01-2002 07:10 PM

Hmmmm.. perhaps Theoden to the errand rider of Gondor?

Gimli Son Of Gloin 05-05-2002 12:47 PM

Nope! Try again (you're close though). In case you saw the post before this one that I deleted go with this quote(I didn't realize I was the one that posted the quote and I tried to answer my own quote. ) so if you saw the answer reply to this quote instead.

The old that is strong does not wither,

Thalionyulma 05-06-2002 05:15 AM

Bilbo Baggins? when he wrote a poem about the Elessar?

[ May 06, 2002: Message edited by: Thalionyulma ]

Gimli Son Of Gloin 05-06-2002 04:30 PM

It is Bilbo, you are correct Thalionyalma, Bilbo said it during the council of Elrond. Post a quote.

Merry 05-10-2002 05:00 PM

Here's one.

I don't know what strength is left in my blood. But I swear to you, I will not let the white city fall, nor our people fail.

Orlandos_Queen 05-10-2002 08:10 PM

Aragorn to Boromir

"Council is a dangerous gift, even from the wise to the wise, and all courses may run ill."

Manwe 05-13-2002 04:33 AM

Gildor to Frodo. I may be wrong, but he did say something like that. If I'm right post a quote anyone, I don't know when I'm back.

Aldagrim Proudfoot 06-06-2002 11:57 AM

It could be Gandalf.

This one should be easy
Quote:

Never laugh at live dragons.

Mat_Heathertoes 06-06-2002 06:34 PM

It is. Bilbo to himself as he nursed his burnted bottom in the secret passage of Erebor

Aldagrim Proudfoot 06-07-2002 10:32 AM

It is Gandalf or my quote is easy?

Lila Bramble 06-11-2002 01:42 PM

"It is a Gift!"

-Quote....???

Who can guess?? This is sooo easy!

LeGoLaSz gUrL 06-11-2002 02:03 PM

It's Boromir!! At the Council of Elrond!

Aldagrim Proudfoot 06-11-2002 06:53 PM

Could it be Smeagol?(pre-Gollum)

Lila Bramble 06-18-2002 06:39 PM

Hehe, yep, Borrimir is correct! But that was very easy! You did a good job anyways.

Catherine 06-20-2002 03:56 PM

This is an easy one:
"Are you frightened" "Not nearly frightened enough"

Lothiriel Silmarien 06-20-2002 08:09 PM

Catherine, oh you know this one's my man!!!! It's one of our quotes! My man.....Aragorn has said this!!! ARAGOOOOOORRRN!!!!!

Catherine 06-21-2002 10:19 AM

I was waiting for you to get that one.

Lila Bramble 06-21-2002 03:25 PM

"I think I broke something!"

Quote....???

Hehe, any right Lord of the Rings fan would get this! It's SOOO easy!!! =)

Amberle 06-21-2002 07:52 PM

I don't think anyone said that, but if someone did, I'd say it was Pippin

Melephelwen 06-22-2002 04:31 AM

It was Merry, just after they fell down, while they were chased by farmer Maggot. He DID break something - a carrot

Lila Bramble 06-22-2002 01:42 PM

Great job, Melephelwen! It was so cute when he said that, then he held up the broken carrot. I love Merry! No, this isn't a quote from the book, I tend to take my quotes from the movie.

Melephelwen 06-23-2002 06:50 AM

Guess it's my turn now.

Quote:

I have been droppin no eves sir, honest.
Can you guess that?

Lila Bramble 06-23-2002 09:48 AM

I know! It was Samwise (I hate him...) in the movie! heh, I was the only one in the whole theatre that was laughing at that. My turn, yay!

Quote:

I was very well thought of before you.

Lila Bramble 06-23-2002 09:49 AM

I know! It was Samwise (I hate him...) in the movie! heh, I was the only one in the whole theatre that was laughing at that. My turn, yay!

Quote:

heh, I love that one! Its easy!

merlilot 06-24-2002 08:11 PM

You creep. How can you hate Samwise?
The carrot thing is the best. I love it. The best part is, I was on a walk with my brother, and we were eating carrots, and he gave me an evil look, tripped me, I fell and broke my carrot and he says in his Merry impression: "I think you may have broken something."
It was the best!!

I believe that quote is Bilbo to Gandalf. Sounds right, anyway.

Lila Bramble 06-25-2002 02:53 PM

What?! Me a creep?! Naw! *Shifts eyes*

Hehe, okay, in the movie Sam's pretty cool (all my friends thinks he's ugly, secretly, i find him cute...) but in the book he cried when he saw a rose garden destoryed, and no offense to poor Samwise, but he holds Frodo's hand and let's im fall asleep in his lap (G-A-Y) But that's okay!

Anyways, no, it wasn't Bilbo, but you are close! Think of the movie...

Rose Cotton 06-25-2002 03:21 PM

Isn't it Saruman to Gandalf?

And Sam is COOL!! He's alittle sensitive and yes he does act alittle gay but to him that's natural. Besides he marries a girl.

[ June 25, 2002: Message edited by: Rose Cotton ]

Lila Bramble 06-25-2002 03:29 PM

Yes, deep down I do like Sam, and I'm sorry, Ms. Cotton.

I sorta got the quote wrong anyways, so I'll have to re-do it. Sorry!
Quote:

We Bagginses were well thought of before you.
That was a give-away! Anyways, sorry Sam! Most girls would like a 'sensitive' man like you. *Winks at Rose*

merlilot 06-25-2002 07:30 PM

Yup Sean Astin is cute, even if he is 15 years older than me and married.

was it somebody to one of the S-B's?

Lila Bramble 06-25-2002 07:37 PM

Nope, not the Sackvill Bagginses. Think of the movie! One more guess and I'll reveal...

Quote:

We Bagginses were well thought of before you

Rose Cotton 06-25-2002 08:41 PM

Oh! Now I get it. The quote is when Frodo is talking to Gandalf in the cart.

And the reason I like Sam is because of his selflessnes in the last stages of his journey and.......(blushes)...the way he says things. Alright, topic closed.

Lila Bramble 06-26-2002 06:11 AM

Good job, Rose! That is correct, Frodo to Gandalf in the beggining of the first movie. And it's okay, Sam is just fine. I like Merry, and hardly anyone likes him. Its usually just Frodo, Pippin, and Aragorn. Now it's your turn for a quote!

merlilot 06-26-2002 02:25 PM

HEY! I like Merry too!

Anyway, please, post a quote!

(Note: I like how Sam expresses himself, as well. *not ashamed*)

Rose Cotton 06-30-2002 11:01 PM

Sorry, I've been away.
Hm....a quote................?

"You seem to be coming to your senses again, and that is all to the good."

merlilot: Stay back. Sam is mine. (totally free of embarassment)

elijah4eva 07-01-2002 11:51 AM

is it Gandalf to Frodo after he has woken up in Rivendell?
