I think I prefer this type of party; a lot less effort is needed.

But wouldn't it be cool if we all had a real party? In the same room with cake and everything!

That would be very cool, then we could all meet each other and see if the opinions we get of people online match them in real life.

Dude, have you seen the number of 'meet-up' threads scattered over The Barrowdowns?! Cool...yet impossible. However, I suppose something complicated with webcams could be arranged....annything for the Cake! ;)

May 2000 - Why do I remember EZ Board Downs then? I was all over EZ Board with my 'global' Snowdog EZ account along with being on most all the Tolkien sites of the day. I remember wandering back here in 2002 and the 'main page' and all. I still have the Barrow Downs t-shirt (fits a bit snug these days), had a couple coffee cups (one broke a week after receiving it, and the other was lost in the house clean-out after a divorce in 2007).

In May 2000, I was most active on The One Ring . com (TORc - now a 'pay-to-play' site at $4 a month) until I was banned in 2003 (marriage politics). I was also quite active on the seemingly competitive site 'Minas Tirith . com (Just checked that url and Go Daddy has it for sale for $5199 or 'lease to own' for $434 am month). Other places I remember from that time was 'The White Council' on EZ Board, 'The Tolkien Forum' (still going strong), and DarkStarr on EZ Board (they were a rebel mob from The One Ring . com, and begat Board77 which begat Hall of Fire which is still around.

Anyway, I digress. Just waxing nostalgic here. Three cheers for the Barrow Wight!
