It's not so much a bandwidth issue as a performance issue. The forum will load faster if there are less files to process. Plus, it will make backups much, much smaller and easier to do. And backups are very important for the integrity of the site,

Mr. BW, would you mind telling me how much space this forum takes up and how much bandwidth is used to keep it going every month? I am wondering because I happen to have an internet host right now that gives me unlimited space to store things and a 15gb a month limit for uploading and downloading put together. Me and my brother are not using the host alot, so there might be a small chance I could atleast help. Don't get your hopes up, though, because I don't know what he'll think. Im just wondering if my help would be noticeable.

Thanks for the offer, Elendur, but space and bandwidth are not the concern. Speed is. We can only improve this by getting rid of files that aren't being used. PMs make up a great lot of unused files. If people will delete them once they are read, everything will be great.

I keep my PMs like I keep my home: nothing gets thrown away. Bilbo and I have quite a lot in common. I visualize him harrying Sam for even so much as moving anything.

Well, there is a way to respond to them without sending Your copy to the other person.
