Frodo of the dolphins

Me and a friend found this picture from 'flipper' and the guy in the water with flipper looked exactly like elijah wood, so we have this on-going joke about Frodo of the Dolphins. The weird thing is that I can just picture Frodo frantically dog-paddling away from a cute little laughing dolphin. What about you?

Ummm, is this a joke? Elijah Wood DID play in Flipper....

Sillabub 06-25-2003 08:40 PM

He DID?!Oooooooo, we were right! (does little happy dance) *ahem* so anyways, yes it is a joke

Alatariel Telemnar 06-25-2003 08:42 PM

A joke? Are you sure? Okay, then what was the point of this thread?

Sillabub 06-26-2003 12:19 PM

I thought it would make an interesting conversation. It was a joke to the extent that I wasn't reserching like crazy over it, etc.

Duncariel 06-26-2003 03:44 PM

Yep, Frodo swimming about with mammals that have an IQ that is higher than his own. Makes perfect sense to me.

Alatariel Telemnar 06-26-2003 05:05 PM

Not just swimming with them, but swimming away, screaming like a baby....

Duncariel 06-26-2003 05:46 PM

Awwww, did poor Frodo make the sweet little dolphins mad? *laughs maliciously* Must've made some crappy jokes about their voices.

Alatariel Telemnar 06-26-2003 05:50 PM

Indeed he did, he also made a joke about how slimy they were, and how large their heads are, and the way they swim. Then they started chasing after him, leading him to scream like a baby and swim away as fast as he could.

Finwe 06-26-2003 09:49 PM

Awwwww, did ickle Fwodiekins get scared???? Haha! That sounds exactly like something Elijah Wood would do!

What, taunt dolphins or scream like a baby?

Entertaining as this thread is, I'm sure it won't be long till one of the mods comes by and closes it...

Though this is entertaining, like arianrod said this may be closed soon, since this is not a 'mayhem' forum, and at the moment, it's not really Tolkien related. Maybe if you could steer it back towards Frodo somehow, instead of Elijah Wood, it would escape being closed.
Peace

Scream like a baby! He did drop sting and scream... to think that they gave him all those lessens just to drop it and scream...

Okay, I think I've been talking to ElenCala Isil to long....

Duncariel 06-27-2003 06:23 PM

Lessons to scream? He needs them not.

EW must be one of those people who gets kicks out of terrorizing those who can't terrorize back. Except, in this case, *giggles* he was deadly wrong.

ooh slightly off-topic, but funny story:
My family and I went to see Fotr for the second time in my friends town(so we could see it with her and they have much much much cheaper tickets and snacks and stuff) and it's about half hour away form my house. Well, as we were driving back my sister told me about this article she read about EW saying that he said the wierdest part of filming was when they had to cut because the hair on his feet was falling off. Well, I was joking around and imitating PJ at that moment and I meant to say "Cut! He doesn't have enough hair on his feet!" but I blurted out (it was late at night) "CUT! He doesn't have enough feet in his hair!" I imagined Frodo with a huge curly afro and feet sticking out all over! I was laughing the whole ride home!!! and everyone got really quiet. I was seriously laughing for about 20 minutes. Now that's my sister and I's inside joke.

Off topic...that happens a lot... welcome to the 'downs, elfearz1, that was off topic, too, but it doesn't matter, enjoy being dead

elfearz1 06-30-2003 04:49 PM

lol I know, waaaaaay off topic, sorry. Thank you. I'm actually not new... I lost my password for my old account and I deleted the email adress I registered with (smart move I know) so I had to create a new one.

Yeah, now it would be really funny if Frodo couldn't tell a dolphin from a shark. He jumps in, "Hey, Flipper!" Then 'Flipper' bites him. "AAARGH!!! Bad, Flipper! Very bad Flipper!"

Or when Gollum bit off his fingers, P.J. punished Gollum for biting off more than one. It turns out that Frodo got in Flipper's way during mating season. "CHOMP!"
