Fellowship of the Flyswatters
 

Okay, I don't know if this has been done, but I'd like it if everyone could post their favorite LOTR moments at school, work or anywhere. Very recently, me and sillabub and lysi made 'the fellowship of the flyswatters'. we each have a flyswatter to 'rid the world of evil', or flies. Get posting (please!)

I once saw an advertisement for a LOTR related play performance. It was the same plot basicaly, but everynight, the audience choses a object "of power" I would have liked to see it, but sadly I missed it.

I was out in the street with some friends and we began re-enact the movies in full view of everyone. And no, we didn't get money thrown at our feet...

But wouldn't it be sweet if they did though?

And just now, me and my friend are singing a song. Can't tell you now, because the bell just rang, but I'll post it later.

I and my friend Toni were coming back from the school library when we had our greatest LotR moment. We had started a discussion about how Saruman could "enslave" birds and beasts, along with other non-human creatures. Just as we were passing by a row of bushes between the school building and the library, a HUGE flock of crows flew overhead, cawing like all Angband. We took one look at each other, and dove into the bushes, screaming at the top of our lungs, "CREBAIN FROM DUNLAND!!!! HIDE!!!!!!!!" We got a LOT of strange looks from people, but it was definitely worth it.

I've recently rewritten the FoTR movie script to *clears throat* "The Fellowship of The Tie"

**coughs** Where to start???

Okay lets start with the most recent. Me and some of my freinds are doing Duke of Edinbuger award this year, which entails a 15 mile walk. Three of us in the group are *Ahem* Midly LotR obsessive. The other two ARE NOT. (However they are so much like Aragorn and Gimli they are involved in our LotR stuff anyway)Two LotR things have come out of this - a fanfic: Lord of the DofE (The fellowship do DofE)

and a LOT of quoting. Me and Leo are planing all the quotes we can use to annoy Loz and Jenny!

The Quest for the Ice Cream of Power

I was walking to an ice cream store with two of my friends and my friend's dog and we decided to pretend that we were going on a quest, complete with Nazgul, orcs, and Gollum(the dog). It was very fun, but I expect people thought we were crazy, shooting air bows and waving air swords around at the invisible orcs and running in terror from the invisible Nazgul. At lunch on friday my friend and I were walking to a pizza place near by, we even brought along our toy bows and shot aarows at the people walking near us and in line at the pizza place!

We did a LOTR parody as imprivisation in Drama EXC. after we watched FOTR, (considering only half the class had read Lotr. It was pretty funny.

hahaha you guys are great! Mine isn't as funny as yours, but I was sitting in class really bored so I started reading the back of Rotk and it read "while the evil might of the dark lord Sauron swarmed out to conquer all Middle-earth, Frodo and Sam struggled deep into Mordor, seat of Saurons power."

But... I read "While the evil might of the dark lord Sauron swarmed out to conquer all Middle-earth Frodo and Sam were frolicking hand-in-hand in the fields of the Shire"

Needless to say I got a few strange looks.

I work at a keosk in front of a Suncoast movie store and they have tvs in the windows and they place FOTR a lot. I will sit there in my chair and watch but I also start saying my favorite lines with the character when they come up. I also make comments like when Frodo says to Sam that the ring will be safe in Rivendel I say "Oh, one little problem, the elves don't want it." And the council when Aragorn tells Legolas to sit down, "Yeah, Legolas, sit your a$$ down." And so on and so on. I have balls of fun but being in a mall people think I am crazy. I wonder what gave them that idea? [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img]

Suncoast? as in Queensland?

Yeah we do the same things when my friends and i have an all nighter movie party, we do comments on all our fav. movies.

Um... What or where is Queensland? I live in Wisconsin and I will leave it at that. [img]smilies/redface.gif[/img]
