Bombadil to do LOTR?
According to today's Guardian, A LOTR musical is planned for London.
Could the Guardian be exaggerating the possibilities? Shall Morrissey sing Frodo? Bono, Aragorn? Avril, Arwen? Bjork, Galadriel? Could McCartney do Gandalf or Jagger Saruman? [ May 28, 2003: Message edited by: Bęthberry ] |
Musical dream list for LotR eh? I shiver with anticipation...or is that fear? For some reason I am picturing Frodo as a suped up version of "Oliver".."Please, Sir, can I go back home?"
Bjork would be a great Galadriel if anyone could understand what she was saying...she has that freakishness about her. As for the others, I will have to ponder more before passing judgement. |
Ahh...so can't picture it...please don't let it happen, all I can visualise is the Fellowship suddenly bursting into song in the mines of Moria and forming a kick-line......oh no...will now have nightmares...

At least it will be something to speculate upon after *wipes away a tear* RotK

Eh, I don't like the idea so much. I heard the same thing though. It could be interesting, but I don't see how they can put such a large story into stage form. As for Tolkien's trilogy being put into drama form, I don't think anything is going to top the work that PJ has already done with it, at least not for a very long time.
