Just Noticed
 

I just noticed something. As I stood in line at school for my bagel I eat everyday at lunch, I looked at the two one dollar bills I held in my hand (U.S. currency). On the back, or the side without a president on it, there are two circles, one on either side of the bill. In the left circle (I believe it is left..) their is a pyramid, some not english writing LoL, and above the pyramid is an EYE!

Why is this wierd? Well, what represented Sauron? Well, maybe not represented him. But to keep our imaginations going, Sauron is not described as having a body, right (this is one part of the movie I hated, as they showed Sauron with some sort of 'body')? He is often referred to or talked as having a 'Lidless eye, wreathed in flame.'

Anyway, I stood there looking at my dollar. My friend Allie must have seen my eyes about pop out of their sockets.

"Mallory, erm, are you alright?" And I was like, huh?

I didn't tell her what I was thinking, but inside I was thinking "Hey! Sauron!! Lookie!!"

Nevermind LoL. This is why I think this post goes in Middle-Earth mayhem!

How come five pound notes don't have the eye of Sauron on them? *sulk*

all money should have pictures of the LOTR characters on it. After all, they are the most important!

Ha, I never thought of that. Hey, wait a minute. Why would we have the eye of Sauron on our money? Does that mean he runs our country? Or just the places where they make the money? LOL!

Well, just go to the "Tom Bombadil in the White House" thread! That is why we have the eye on our currency...

Oh! Ohohoh! Maybe it is a conspiracy...a secret plot to brainwash us all into supporting Sauron and submitting to the eye!

I think the Eye is actually a Masonic symbol, since a lot of the Founding Fathers were Masons - since they got to design the currency, they could put whatever they liked in it.

Not that that helps too much, since I know pretty much nothing about Masons. Possibly preserving the relics of Sauron throughout the ages? They are a pretty old organization, after all... [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

That's a freaky thought!! Maybe that's why... wait, no. I'm *not* going to start bashing any democrats here. That's not what this is for. *Arwen tries desperatly to restrain herself from saying what she wants....*

Pyramids and the EYE! That's what I was seeing everywhere during a week in Egypt! And I was trying so hard to think of smth LOTRish, just to keep the brain going... How silly of me [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

The pyramid with the eye is often used as a sign of science and advancing technology... beats me. How do I know these things? Yeesh....

Our country being run by Sauron? It may not be as farfetched as it seems.

5 were given to the Celebrities, fairest of all beings.
10 were given to the Working-class, great builders and craftsmen of concrete.
And 25, 25 given to the race of Politicians, who above all else dsiered power.

But they were all of them decived, for another dollar was made.
In the land of DC, in the fires of Mt. Washington, Sauron forged in secret a master dollar, a dollar to rule all others.
And into this dollar he poured his crurelty, his malaice, and his will to dominated all life.
One dollar to rule them all.
