That't a question that has been anoying me for a while.......
What happened with Gollum and the Ring after they fell in Mount Doom?????

They melted/were burnt to a crisp in the lava.

For some odd reason, Eru decided to put Gollum's soul into the body of my cat Snowflake. Of course since the ring was destroyed, I became the "preciousssss"

Gollum finnaly realised that his goal in life was to quit his high ranked, job, which he was sick of, bribe his new boss, and work in a fast food resturant, whilst having extraordinalry strange fantasies about his daugters best friend, olny to be end up being blown up by somone or another. (It's a toss-up between his homophobic next door neighbour and his crazy, voluptious wife.) No where did I get that idea from...

Gollum did not burn. He just tossed another ring into the Moutain and let Sauron think that it was the real ring. Sauron's empire collapsed and Gollum is now in the misty Mountains. IN the 6th age he will come back as the new Dark Lord and take over Middle Earth.
