Whaked M-E Theories

Does anyone have any really strange theories concerning Middle Earth? Me and my friends think that neumerous popular singers (not Britny Spears type peoples, like Enya or the Goo Goo Dolls) are really that last of the Elves... That and that Treebeard lives in my yard, but we won't go into that...

Gayahithwen 12-10-2002 04:02 AM

I had a very complicated theory about the Bermuda triangle being a port to Middle-Earth. I'm to tired to re-tell it in fully, but in short, it was "The bermuda triangle is a port to Middle-Earth. Good people go through there and comes out as elves, bad people goes through and comes out as orcs."

*smiles* I've got some other theories as well, but I'm to tired to retell them all.

(By the way, I am now an official Ghost prince(ss) of Cardolan. Go me!)

Meela 12-10-2002 12:14 PM

i know this is all probably entirely unrelated...

no... maybe it is relevant...

does anyone else ever see people from ME/movie, etc.? the other day i saw tolkien in my town, and this guy working at my local cinema is a cross between treebeard and gimli, and ive seen boromir, merry, pippin, frodo, and sauron, and a nazgul, and my cat turned into gollum...

Manwe Sulimo 12-10-2002 02:51 PM

Ha ha, that's awesome, Gayahithwen! I have a theory similar to that, except the Triangle is a portal to Valinor, and only descendents of Elves can go through...(e.g., ships/planes with elven descendents disappear, whiles one w/o Elvish ppl onboard stay on Earth [Arda]).

Artanis 12-10-2002 07:00 PM

That is so awesome! I know where I will be vacationing this summer... Argh... my friend has decided to call herself Gothwin... she goes around "Im Gothwin, lasto beth nim. Tolo dan nan mor!" in a creepy voice, scaring the underlings... Maybe she is a dark neuminorian that I need to distroy...*unsheaths sword* well, they did say not to procrastinate any more... Morai 12-11-2002 06:54 PM

Theory 1: When Gollum fell into Mt. Doom, Eru took his spirit and put it in my cat's body.

Theory: Elijah Wood is a descendent of Frodo Baggins. (I know, a little off the wall, but hey! he's only 5'6"!)

Theory 3: My band teacher is either related to Gandalf or Saruman (If he's Gandalf, a fellow flute player must be Pippin)

Manwe Sulimo 12-11-2002 07:36 PM

"Fool of a flutist!"

*Chuckles*

In our school band, the Pippin must be a clarinetist.

Faye Took 12-12-2002 12:20 AM

I feel the same way about my band teacher! I'm for sure he is a desendant of Saruman! Me and my friend call him White Hand and have been bugging him to let us playing music from the Fellowship movie and I'm hoping he considers.

Skippy the Nazgul 12-12-2002 09:55 AM

Unrelated theory 1: Rob thomas and Kid Rock are twins separated at birth

Unrelated Theory 2: My mom's Mac is possess by satan and traps souls in her printer, which seems to make spontaneous noises

Unrelated Theory 3: Britney Spears is either a succubus (spelling?)

M-E Theory: The Balrog's wings are made of shadow, so they could not conceivably lift the weight of its firy body.

Hee Hee Hee

Arwen Imladris 12-12-2002 01:23 PM

1-whoever his face is that plays Harry Potter is related to Elijah Wood who is realated to Frodo somehow

2-I am actually Arwen

3-ME is actually our worlds history, they have kept that from us (along with many other things like the fact that we never landed on the moon and stuff like that) it IS a conspiracy!

O.K. That is enouph for now.

Morai 12-12-2002 06:29 PM

Theory 4: My former band teacher is a elf and last year he fled to the Undying Lands (otherwise known as Southern Texas)

Theory 5: My mom has a planitir hidden in her room. That explains why she knows the exact time to drive me crazy (wait, I already am!) and why she's so grumpy and scatter-brained.

Theory 7: The band teacher I'll have next year must be Tom Bomadil. (strict, but always happy)

Gee..maybe I should go to the Burmuda Triangle....but yuck it's too warm...I'm learning to apreciate cold weather because it might not last forever. After all it is these mortals who are causing global warming(that was a joke....do not take it personally....but I'm serious about my hatred of warm places, they look nice from afer...in pictures...that's as close as I'll go.) Strange. I also swear that my orchestra teacher is related to Saruman. Perhaps she and your band teacher are related.

Oh, yeah, I forgot! I think that Santa Clause is one of the Maiyar (sp? I'm such a idot...) I think I might leave lembas out this year for "santa" insted of cookies. As to the other posts, I do not have any teachers that seem to have strange wizardly powers, but I think that the basket ball coach who keeps driving the theater troup (ha! calling us a troup... that's a laugh!) out of the auditorium with the stage is really a Balrog... I did notice her love of darkness...

steve 12-12-2002 09:57 PM

my theory is, the hair on my head is actuially a strain of hobbit foot hair

and i think MY orchestra conductor is related to one of the elves from the hobbit

oh, and i think santa's elves are cross breed of elves, dwarves, and like mentially handicaped humans

The Squatter of Amon Rūdh 12-13-2002 10:01 AM

Long have I pondered the question of Creation. Now my crackpot theory is complete:

If we apply Big-Band theory to the Ainulindalė it would suggest that the very first words of the Music came from Eru himself, and that they were "A-one; a-two; a-one, two, three, four...". Furthermore, since nobody wants to go into a jam that will shape the destiny of an entire planet without a little practice, I think that they must have done a warm-up number first. Given the nature of the theory applied, this can only have been The Chattanooga Choo-Choo.

This leaves only the question of Melkor's discordant theme: many suggestions of merit have been put forward, but my favourite at the moment is that he went into an unplanned trombone solo.

Morai 12-13-2002 08:37 PM

Theory: Frodo Baggins eloped in the Undying Lands to a hobbit lass runaway. (Hey, I can dream, can't I)

Theory: Pippin is my guardian angel.

You fools! You let my imagination run wild!

Rose Cotton 12-14-2002 11:41 AM

That guy that Christopher Lee plays in Star Wars Episode 2 is really Saruman's great great great great etc. grandson.

engwaalphiel 12-14-2002 01:04 PM

The crazy scummerfield supermarket guy is actually Gandalf , (he has a hat!!!!)

My friend Leonie is a hobbit she's so small !
My cousin is a hobbit child she has curly hair just like the ones in the FOTR!!

Arwen Melian 12-16-2002 08:33 PM

If Pippin is your guardian angel...who is mine? Hmmm....probably Legolas....

Artanis 12-16-2002 10:22 PM

HOBBIT FOOT HAIR!!! LOL! May it grow thick and curly forever...

doug*platypus 12-29-2002 07:48 AM

I saw the second movie the other day, and I've become convinced that they just ripped it all off Star Wars.

But if you want to hear my really crazy theories, you'll just have to wait (maybe forty years!) for the book.

Oh, yeah, and there's numerous theories on what it really means to be the Lord of someone's Ring... but I don't want to get kicked off the Downs.

Taure Leafsilver 12-31-2002 11:34 PM

I am a hobbit! I am 14 years old, 4' 8", and where a size 9 shoe.

And Sam is my Gard(ener)ian Angel!

Theory 1: When we die, we are all transported to ME and become the race and persona of our choice. Well, can't I dream? Can't I!?

Theory 2: Several family members (who shall remain unamed) are actually cave trolls and orcs.

Theory 3: My parents and my younger brother are all hobbits. Seriously. 'Hobbit' was my Dad's nick-name when he was a kid.

Theory 4: I am so going to Bermuda.

P.S. My Mom's Compaq is possesed. What is it with possesed computers? (Which my family has in abundance)

Kira 01-01-2003 06:20 PM

My theroy......

Bill Gates is the reincarnation of Saruon. Except this time he's thinking bigger. Why have only nine wraiths when you can have millions of people who are so dependent on Windows Technical support that they will do anything they're told. (The orginal nive nazgual are the heads of tech suppot) To defeat this evil some poor soul will have to pioneer a last alliance of Gamers and Cubical Dwellers and lay seige to Gates' stronghold of the Microsoft Campus in the land of Washington.......

Break out the viruses, man! Today, my mum watched FOTR for the FIRST TIME! Isn't waiting that long a sin or something? Anyway, anyone here think that the Nazghul are really the Horsemen of the Apocalypse? It's what me mum thinks...but it is quite possible that she is one of them, so why trust her?

Marsyas 01-01-2003 10:46 PM

A friend and I have been working on Rohandemar - our elf home - and I think that there are places in the deep woods that are actually remnants of elf-camps. Kind of like the circles in The Hobbit.

Nevolosse Maehayanda 01-02-2003 08:43 AM

It seems an ongoying topic...but MY band teacher seems like...*blah blah blah* what's awesome about it is that she IS letting us play FORT music! *yes!*

It's aallll in the winds I tell you...

Theory 1: Bermuda? I always thought it was New York!
Theory 2: portals bortals...you JUST need the right pipe...

Maylin 01-02-2003 10:14 AM

Hmmm... Well, I personally think that Gollum escaped from mt. doom, and is now running my school, trying to melt our brains by making school way to easy. His aspiration are once we are all zombies, we tell him about the ring (NEVER!)

pherostien 01-03-2003 05:25 PM

My dad lives in Washington, and his computer company is against Bill Gates. Wait! And I swear Washington feels like Middle Earth to me. And I think I am just a tall hobbit. I wear size 9 1/2 shoe. My grand father died and what did I get? A gold ring!! AHHHHHHHH!!!! Woe is me.

peonydeepdelver 08-22-2003 05:04 PM

I have a theory: My dad is Tom Bombadil. If you say, "Hey Dad?" He'll start singing, "Whatttt, whhaaaaattt...." over in over in random melodies. Once he made up a hit song called Fried Dough, and all the lyrics are "fried dough". It's a real fun one with my friends, but I can't remember what song it's the tune to. Some Christmas song. And he was singing it in the middle of July when my mom made fried dough. LOL

Everdawn 08-23-2003 08:49 PM

I reckon ME really does exist.. its in some far off corner of the world that everyone somehow has missed.. right next to the Jurassic Park islands... Tolkien simply found it, wrote about it and failed to tell us how he got there and back again...(excuse the pun.)

the guy who be short 08-24-2003 09:40 AM

I also believe that ME is Earth, and that everything happened. I also like to think that I'm descended from the last dwarves, thouggh that's less likely.

Neferchoirwen 08-24-2003 10:10 AM

I believe that the lead guitarist (the guy's name eludes me...) of YES is Gandalf...saw him working on his guitar (the flat one---the kind you lay on your lap and run a metal tube on it---dunno what's it called), and the dude looks entirely like Gandalf, with a glasses and thinning hair---the blasted hat did it.

ElenCala Isil 08-24-2003 10:16 AM

I am convinced that I currently reside in Mordor...and *looks outside and points* that's Mount Doom. *points in another direction* along there are the Ash Mountains. *points to top of house* and over there... that'd be Sauron...

I am also convinced that my computer was possessed, and also that hobbits hacked into it, which caused for an abundance of photos of hobbits suddenly appearing in my pictures... some hobbits, just can't get enough of themselves..

I also think that my cat is the reincarnation of Pippin and therefore, Pippin the cat is my guardian angel.

THEORY: My dad is a hobbit. He's chubby, kinda short, is very easily amused, and always walks around the house barefoot. He's the one that read me The Hobbit and started my whole obsession. Coincidence? I think not...

Quote:

Yes, I'm an avid believer in that theory, too. When the pastor says 'heaven', I hear 'Shire'.

Everdawn 08-29-2003 04:52 AM

I know believe beyond a doubt that my biology teacher is Sauron... and i am but a humble gondorian trying to evade his evil clutches...

Translated into English...
I hate my Bio teacher, but i like causing trouble...
