Battles, great aren't they

The battle scenes in LOTR are F-ing brilliant, i think we can all aggree on that. Now that Helm's Deep is here in all its "flaming arrows, roaring Uruk Hai, great big charging armies" brilliance I really have to ask-
Where can I find out more about how the battle scenes were brought to life? I'm especially interested in props such as armour, weaponry etc
So does anyone know where I can find more information on this.
Is there anything on the Extended Version, as I don't have that. YET !!

Well, all I know is that there is some stuff on that in the extended DVD. The extras on that DVD were great. The non-extended DVD shows them making the chain or ring mail.

I know what you mean. I'm really looking forward to the battle at Helm's Deep in TTT. Did you happen to catch the show they did a couple weeks ago, Wednesday nite, channel 5? They talked a lot about the filming at Helm's Deep. It was pretty interesting.

I'm looking forward to the Ents attacking Isengard, for I hear that they show it. That should be cool. Of course I can't wait for Helm's Deep, either!!

Would you PLEASE refrain from using nasty words about such cool scenes?!? There's a reason they bleep out words like that, and you're just skirting around them.
Yep, I haven't finished the extended DVD yet, but there's some extra fighting in FotR: Brilliant!

There's a little bit about it on the official website. You even get to toy around with a computer orc: www.lordoftherings.net
